Hyla was born in 1950 and became an accomplished gymnast and dancer, leading to a long career as a stuntwoman and actress in over 80 films. She was also a successful day-trader and a passionate cat-lover who created a Trust that s

ince her death in 2016, has benefited over 60 organizations that help homeless cats find medical care and forever homes. In her memory, we have created The Hyla Marrow Memorial Fund for Veterinary Care of Homeless Cats. Hyla’s spirit and love of cats will always live on through the work we do, and we thank the Hyla Marrow Trust for their support.

Felix ... the 20 y/o we rescued from CVAC and decided to bring him into our family ... after a stay in our casita and a stay in the office, he had his first venture out into the living room ... Max was the first to greet him.

A MASSIVE thanks to the village who made this happen, and gave an old man a loving place to live out his life!!!!!!!!

My heart and thoughts are with the people and animals impacted by the California wildfires. The animal welfare community in California is strong and resilient. The state disaster plan considers that animals are an important part of families and communities. BPF’s Animal Incident Management™ team Executive Director Eric Thompson is monitoring the situation and collaborating with other national organizations on the next steps. When California requests support, we will be ready.

Partners, friends and donors have contacted me asking what they can do to help. Pasadena Humane is fielding the immediate response. They have taken in over 300 animals from the disaster zone and their veterinary clinic is running 24/7. The biggest need right now is to support them with monetary donations so they can continue their response. When you make your donation, let them know that is for disaster response. In-kind donations, unless specifically requested, are difficult to manage during a disaster of any kind.

Thank you, Pasadena Humane Society. You are a valued partner, and we are here for you. ❤️

This sweet bonded pair of cats, Yoshi and Peach, are hoping the third time's the charm to find their forever home. Their first family had to give them up when the owners started a growing family and moved. In their second home, an elderly woman adored them as constant companions, but sadly, she passed away unexpectedly the day after Christmas. Now in the prime of their lives, these healthy middle-aged felines have wonderful personalities and are ready to bring joy and love to their next family. With an easygoing, affectionate nature, they're sure to appeal to the person who chooses to welcome them into their home.

Update on the 20 year old guy who got his freedom ride out of CVAC on Friday…..

We think this is the first time he has really allowed himself to feel happy since loosing everything he knew and going into the scary shelter.

UPDATE: kitten is out of surgery and recovering from anesthesia. There were two gold strings and some foil material. Not sure it was tinsel, but it was some type of decorative Christmas thread. We’re all hoping for a smooth recovery. Christmas can be a very dangerous season for cats! Keep your kitty safe, remove all string material.

UPDATE: kitten is on the surgery table as we write this update. A linear foreign body was found. It is currently being removed by the surgeon. But it had already created a couple of small perforations. So these will have to be dealt with as well. There is a real possibility that this could be a piece of tinsel. Just want to spread the word of warning if you have cats in your home, please do not ever use tinsel to decorate your tree. It is a true hazard.

Urgent real-time need! Trying to give a kitten a Christmas Miracle.

Seems he ingested something he shouldn’t have. He was slated to be euthanized by the county shelter for irremediable suffering if he didn’t get veterinary care by 5:00 p.m. today.

Don’t have permission to share names but an incredible doctor and RVT have offered to stay late to perform an abdominal exploratory surgery right now.

We have run out of our grant for medical care for shelter animals for the year. So we are raising funds for this sweet unfortunate kitten.

Any amount will be helpful and appreciated for this kitten mitten!!!!!

Our Story

Our mission is to support municipal shelters to help reduce and eliminate the unnecessary euthanasia of cats in the shelter. To achieve this, our priority is to rescue cats and kittens, who are facing the risk of potential euthanasia. Since our inception, we have saved over 1,000 cats.

We have a policy of always honoring adoption returns (owner surrender of cats adopted from ForeverMeow), however, we do not have the capacity to assist the general public in taking owner surrenders. If you wish to rehome a cat, we suggest first checking with the adoption agency where you adopted the cat and/or using Adopt A Pet’s rehome a pet website at: https://rehome.adoptapet.com/

Please note, we currently have limited ability to field questions from the public to provide advice and assistance. Please check out our frequently asked questions page on our website at: http://forevermeow.org/index.php?page=help We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so donations may be tax deductible to you.
