This handsome guy is Chandler, a 5 month old 50lb Bernedoodle. I had the best day at work on Wednesday when I spent the entire day with him. Not sure all of my co-workers appreciated him hanging with me. I don't think some of them are into dogs. Can you imagine??!! Who wouldn't be smitten by this big bundle of furry puppy? Anyway, we had a blast. He kept me busy all day & I was exhausted. Never made it thru the 6:00 news.

Cody was 9 yrs old when I brought him home. He had been adopted 2x from WHS and returned within 48 hours. He had separation anxiety and was so afraid he would be abandoned again. Cody developed other issues that affect older dogs as time went on.
Eventually, as all pets do, he got his angel wings. I like to think the last 6 years of his life were the happiest.
Older dogs are often passed over at shelters. The common comment is "its a cute dog but hes too old for me". I never regretted for a minute adopting him. What are your thoughts and stories? Have you or would you bring an older dog into your home and heart?
