NEWS UPDATE from Lucy Stone Park. Things may look quiet at the park today but much planning is ongoing for the upcoming Spring and Summer. Keep these dates in mind:

Sunday March 19, New England Canoe & Kayak Racing Association (NECKRA) will be holding a canoe race from West Brookfield To Lucy Stone Park. Two categories: a novice race and an expert race. Novices will race down the Quaboag getting out at Lucy Stone about 11:20 AM. Experts will zoom past about the same time heading for white waters downstream. It may be chilly so Lucy Stone volunteers are offering hot coffee and cookies. Come down and cheer them on. Also watch our drone hovering over the Park recording all the excitement!

Saturday April 1, rain date Saturday April 8, we will be holding our 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Lucy Stone Park. A fun family time and prizes for all age groups. This was a popular event last year, let’s make it bigger and better. Take family photos with the Easter Bunny. Coffee and refreshments.

Thank you to the person who left these kitty litter containers at the shelter. We give these to the Hampshire County Sheriff's Office for their program. They, in turn, work with local towns and local departments to help reduce the risk of falls due to icy walkways and driveways.
We accept these containers all year long.

Good evening friends,
We are looking for some administrative help to apply for the Lowe’s Hometowns Community grant. We also are looking for someone with expertise in working with non-profit status with online fundraising. We have money sitting in an online fundraiser and are in need of assistance to transfer this money to our dog park bank account. In order to do this we have to do some 501c3 verification with Paypal and we just need someone who is savvy with the technology and language to help us through the transfer process. One of our members can work through PayPal but the language of status renewal/ verification has us stuck.

Please message us for details on either subject if you are willing to help. We can host a meeting to get everyone up to speed on what we would like to get done.
