WOW! What a night out this was.
Everything from Fire engines, helicopters, bike ramps, all the military services, food trucks, and much more.
LEISEL enjoyed interacting with all the town's folks and every kid that met LEISEL went away with a smile.

Today, it was an honor for LEISEL the Therapy Dog to attend the Gold Star Family BBQ at Joint Base McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst for the USO.

The Gold Star family is one that has experienced the loss of a loved one–an immediate family member – who died as the result of active-duty military service. Those who die in service to their country leave behind parents, siblings, spouses, children and extended families. These are recognized as Gold Star families. The title is meant to honor the service member’s ultimate sacrifice while acknowledging their family’s loss, grief, and continued healing.

LEISEL was on hand to visit and provide Honor, Hope, and Healing for grieving military families who have lost a loved one while serving on active duty.

Apparently, LEISEL did her job as all the adults and young children had smiles when LEISEL visited them.

Leisel was on hand at the 108th Annual Family Day (National Guard) at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to meet many of the kids of the National Guard.

It was hot but Leisel was a trooper and worked the crowd.

LEISEL has a busy Month coming with the USO. She will visit with some GoldStar families and attend Family Day at McGuire Air Force Base.
In addition, she will be on hand at National Night Out in Barnegat.
