In the past We raised, trained and showed Appaloosa Halter and Performance Horses. He has points in Non Pro-Halter, Halter and Western Pleasure.

After a lengthy divorce I was able to keep two horses a filly out of Warch Joelles Moon ( I pulled her out of momma) and Our family horse Devons Go Jim Dandy who is now 27! In the past we stood WK Riptide is a 2003 stallion owned by Wounded Knee Appaloosas. He has a superior in Hunter In Hand Stallions(by his 2yr old yr), as well as an ROM in Most Colorful. He has won futurities and many year end

awards. He Now lives in Germany! He sired Dun Tide My Patience who is the mare I kept out of Watch Joelles Moon. JUSTY : Passed ar age 3O RIP beautiful girl. I now have her last son who we are currently getting registered Barn Name Tipper.

:Justanuff Pop (ApHC) is a 1990 mare that comes from a line of Appaloosa racing stock that Burt Reynolds bred on his farm in Florida. She is 15.1 hands and has halter points as well as showing in driving classes. We used her for barrels and fun events a few years ago and she loved it. JOELLE :Watch Joelles Moon (under new ownership)is a 15 H chestnut with blanket mare. She was bred to be my barrel mare but was seriously injured as a yearling. She recovered from her injury in spite of two vets saying she needed to be put down. Shewas born on our farm and is a really nice mare. She is bred to WK Riptide for a Feb/March 2011 foal. She is a maiden mare so we are not sure what to expect with her foaling. JD: Devons Go Jim Dandy;1992 Large App/POA gelding. That is actually a small Appaloosa. He was malnutritioned and did not grow much. I take that back, he didn't get very tall, around however is a different story. He is fat and sassy and a great all around horse. Northern Knight is a 2003 Gelding that came to us Oct 2020. He has mostly been a companion and trail horse so he's finding work on the farm to be a new challenge.. Hes a bit bossy and sassy but looks good doing it

Northern Crusader is a 2005 gelding with the same history as Knight. Hes a lover and tries to please. I plan to use him in the show pen soon. Tipper. 2012 gelding out of a mare I owned for 12 years Justanuff Pop. We will see what the future holds for him. Primrose. 13 year old mini mare. She is in with Pip a mini donkey. Do we see a mini mule in our future? Harley horse ranch is also home to 4 dogs a cat ×÷+! chickens, a rabbit and a uromastyx

Day 315 ..just 5 days to go to be in the safe zone..But hopefully she will cook it a bit longer to make sure those spots set in tight. I believe theres a full moon the 25th. Edema is getting better I can get a drop at a time of clear fluid. It's ph is 8.4 so no where near the 6's for foaling. She was laying down stiff and jerking her back legs yesterday morning, rolled to sternum then back flat ..repeated for about 40 minutes with some grunting and tail swishing. I just watched her on cam a bit with sound and she finally let loose the hostage...a long windy rumbly very un-lady-like fart. If she reacted like that to gas..imagine her in labor. lol

Ivy is 311 days! She's in the safe zone to foal March 14th ..full gestation date around April 1st. And yes she's under vet care.

Today Ivy is 27 days from her 320 safe date. She's been making a small bag. She's been rubbing her butt on gates and wings her tails a lot. She's definitely getting ready.

It was a beautiful February day to get hooves trimmed! Suns out..mud is almost dry and in typical Midwest fashion...If it wasn't for the wind..It would have been perfect. Everyone was super good. Even Tipper. Oh how far he's come. Max didn't want his picture taken..or I forgot to get pictures because he was first . lol

Warmed up enough to get blankets off for the upcoming 20s to 30s degree heat wave next week. Max was excited to go in with Tipper. they can't hang together when blanketed because Tipper takes Max's off. lol

Max usually enjoys hiding in his "den" when not hanging in Tippers lot. Today he seemed to be saying..."Miss..Ill take my breakfast on the patio today" lol

Had a great week at Appaloosa Worlds in DFW. Fun week with our Apoy peeps. Now back to work getting the farm winter ready and plan shows and a program for next year.

Farrier day today. Trimming horses in balmy 34 degree weather with high winds. Hooves look great and everyone behaved.

Tipper is happy to be home with turnout out..in the mud..he loves mud. Glad to have him home Hopefully weather clears up for me to ride him soon. Right now I'm happy for the rain.

Took a short jaunt on the home trails. JD hasn't been on a trail ride in many years. I forgot he had a fresh trim yesterday so he was a bit ouchie but at 28 he still had some go. Ivy did great with Charlie again :)

I'm so proud of Tipper today. Hes actually getting a rear hoof done with just a halter and lead. Huge Huge progress from a year ago when at 9 years old had never had his hooves done .Back then he was an absolute nightmare about his feet. He went over the top of me, flipped over, je**ed us around. And that was with tranqs. . Especially when it came to the hinds. Even though we had to lip him a few times today..its a vast improvement and his feet are starting to come together. They no longer look like flat pancakes.
