Jasmine
Welcome Jasmine!
She was running the streets pregnant in a bad part of town. I was told that she was about 20# and she looked like she could be a minpin or german pinscher mix from the pic I saw. When I went to pick her up, she was much larger and definitely not a minpin. But I didn't want her to be left out on the streets.
We got her into the vet the next day for a spay and all of her vetting. Thankfully she is heartworm negative. She was anemic from a heavy intestinal parasite load and flea infestation.
She's spent the past month recovering and learning to live as a house dog. She is pretty amazing... sweet and playful.
She's about 2 yo, 28# (about the size of a beagle). We did a DNA test cause I was thinking that she might be some weird mix like doberman/pit/chihuahua and my guess wasn't too far off. She's an american bully mix with some mini poodle and dachshund thrown in... beautiful black/tan markings and she's got a little underbite. She would make a great addition to almost any home and she's ready to start living her best life!

The first step to adopting, is filling out the online adoption application. A good vet reference and consistent heartworm prevention is required:

Mr. Pickles loves walks. He’s ready for an amazing 7# chihuahua friendly home.
Twinkles earned his wings yesterday 🌈
6.27.2010 - 2.28.2023
He was only a few days old when his mom and siblings were pulled from BARC. He went on lots of home visits. But never got picked and then when he became paralyzed with bowel incontinence, his adoption interest dropped even more. But he was still a happy boy until the cancer won.
He and his brother, Taz, were my longest fosters. Hopefully his squirrely brother can adjust without him.
Run free Twinkles, now that you are whole again 😞
We recently took in owner surrender minpin puppies. They were anemic from fleas and a heavy worm load. But they are doing so well now and had their 1st vaccination today.
The owner loves their dogs and wanted good homes for these love nuggets. We are helping to spay mom and another female in the home.
Stay tuned… we are not accepting applications yet.
