Skelly Dogs Training

Hi! I'm Nancy Skelly, owner and trainer for Skelly Dogs Training.

As a child my family connection was to my other brother who was an athlete, confidant, watchful guardian, loyal companion and an adult Labrador. One of my first jobs was as an occasional walker for neighborhood dogs. I grew up with a succession of various mixed breeds along with Labradors, as did most of my extended family.

As an adult my family members always included at least one canine usually paired with a Labrador. Wanting to understand and enhance our bond I began taking group obedience classes with various trainers. Through the classes I connected with other like-minded people which enabled me to explore different styles and types of training and disciplines with my own dogs.

A friend was a recent graduate of a canine training/behavior academy and in my spare time I was the assistant in class and with consultations. This in turn provided me an opportunity for employment at a small animal hospital. This was truly an education in all areas related to family animals and in particular dogs. Later I worked with a team specializing in canine fitness, board and care for high end clients.
