❤️ Happy Birthday Betty White ❤️
I know you’re seeing a lot about Betty White today and donating to animal rescues and shelters in honor of her 100th birthday. So I wanted to share a little about what these donations are used for.
These photos are just a few of the fosters that have been in my personal care as part of the .
🖤 Leonard. You may or may not know that Len still belongs to the rescue. He is a forever foster as he was deemed unadoptable by a team of trainers and veterinarians. He has suffered a plethora of problems due to poor breeding and physical abuse. He had two mouth surgeries previously and now needs to undergo some neurological testing.
🖤 June. I can’t even put into words the pain, suffering and cost of an emergency C-section. June lost her only baby, but we were lucky to have saved her life.
🖤 Scooby. It took A LOT of nutritious groceries to nurse this big dude back to health.
🖤 Katniss. Mega Esophagus. She battled two bouts of aspiration pneumonia at the local emergency and specialty vet, but in the end we could not save her 💔
🖤 Margo. Neglect + infection on top of infection on top of infection. It took months of anti fungal meds, antibiotics, medicated baths and excellent nutrition to get this sweet girl back to health.
All of the above treatments were paid for with monetary donations. Rescues often have gigantic emergency vet bills, along with paying for trainers, boarding, ongoing meds, vaccines, spay/neuter, food, etc, etc, etc. This is why they ask for our help.
So if you’re able to send a few dollars to the or another animal rescue of your choice today, I’m sure Betty would be truly honored! Can you even imagine the greeting she received on the other side?! 😇🌈❤️
