Cancellation/Rescheduling/NO SHOW Policy
Effective January 29/22
The time has come to implement a better business solution for last minute cancellations and rescheduling requests. While I understand that things pop up at the last minute, this is a big part of my livelihood and these spots could have easily been filled by others as I’m booked solid for 5 to 6 weeks. That said, it’s not always easy

to scramble and fill that spot at the last moment and this takes time away from working with other dogs and of course, my family time. Therefore, moving forward, in order to get on my schedule a non-refundable booking fee will be required up front by etransfer to confirm your spot(s). The amount will be half of your first lesson fee (based on location, so it could be between $45 - $60). This fee will carry forward to your last lesson and be deducted from that lesson. Additionally, if you fail to complete the lessons as planned, the booking fee will not be returned. I appreciate as always, the incredible support from my clients, family and friends!

Ooooh, I've got some catching up to do! Last week I met 3 of the cutest little creatures! Marchy was the main reason for my visit as he is starting to get nippy and we can't have that!

I'm still in rescue dog mode and living every minute! Tonight I met Luna (aptly named as her right eye has a white crescent ). Of course that also means I met her new ded, an amazing gentleman with sooooo much love and patience to give her 💕🐾💕
We definitely covered many issues surrounding her adjusting to her new life. I guess I forgot to mention, she's 11 months old and was rescued from a puppy mill right here in Ontario 🤬
Happy tails from here on out Luna!!

Oh my heart! Charlie is the sweetest girl who just has so much love to give! She was found as a stray in Kingston and her new dad reached out right away for help with her separation anxiety as well as the basics. I'm not sure I've met a more knowledgeable and dedicated young man and even though they have only been together less than a week, it's clear this was a match made in heaven!!
Isn't she adorable!!

Go big or go home as they say! My first client as I start back was Mabel, a 98lb Presa mix!! She was a rescue with an interesting background and yet, the sweetest thing you'll ever meet as long as you don't mind tons of kisses!!
My job is to help her and her family with her rules and boundaries, once that has been established they will all enjoy each other for many years!

Sharing this video from 10 years ago when Dottie and I attended our first intermediate class. It is important to know that Dottie barely passed her beginner class as she couldn't stay to save her life. I didn't give up on her and we practiced like crazy! As you can see, it paid off as she was the only dog that didn't need any corrections! These were the same dogs that scored higher than her in the beginner class. The moral of my share is two fold, 1) don't give up, keep working on it 2) don't stop practicing just because your classes finished, they will forget!

This is a BIG announcement!

I'm heading back into the OR and having my knee replaced on May 14th.

For those that have been with me for a while you likely remember my bad fall 4 years ago. For those new to FMD, I broke my knee in a spectacular fashion from that fall and we knew this day would be coming!!

What this means is that I'm closing all new intakes for at least 4 to 6 months so that I have time to prepare and recover from my surgery.

(Don't worry, if you are in the middle of lessons right now, we'll have plenty of time to get them finished!

Thank you for your patience and I look forward to working with you and your pups in the fall!

By the way.... Finished up lessons with Rusty and I'm so proud of him and his family! It's a busy household and thankfully he has a little boy to call his own and help tire him out!

A Dog Trainer? Me? Why not!

My journey to becoming a dog trainer is quite simple, because it started with becoming a dog owner myself!

In 2014, I adopted my first of two dogs from Taiwan, Dottie and adopted Tiana the following year in 2015. With no idea what I was doing, I attended beginner, intermediate and advanced classes with both dogs, learning and making mistakes along the way. I began reading books and watching training videos online to better myself as a dog owner, and to help my dogs succeed.

As I became more confident, I found myself easily answering questions for other dog owners, and providing tips that worked for me, to help improve their relationship with their pups. This felt so amazing, and I loved helping other dog lovers.
