UPDATE!!!! He was taken to a new home this morning 🙂

Seeking a new home for my 6-month-old Australorp rooster. As he takes his breeding responsibilities seriously, he needs a larger flock and the presence of another rooster to maintain order. My little Silkie rooster, while endearing, lacks the authority to instill manners in him. If you are interested in providing a suitable environment for my rooster, please contact me. Welcome Hades!!! Hades is a 6 month old austrolorp rooster that I’m hoping will be my breeding rooster for next spring. Right now he’s sassy but we are working on it. Those teenage months can make you a real jerk sometimes.

Harley's health has been on a steady decline as the week goes on. This morning, I brought the chicks from the incubator upstairs to visit my beloved Harley boy. Despite his weakened state, he was overjoyed to see the chicks and kept a watchful eye on them for me while I made a fresh cup of coffee. Harley has always been an incredible companion to everyone he has ever met, human or animal. Sadly, this weekend, family came over and gave him plenty of love, but as the week progresses, his health will likely only worsen. Please send your warmest thoughts and prayers to Harley this week.

As the spring season is coming to a close, I have decided not to place any more eggs in the incubator. However, I still have one more hatching scheduled for the 29th, which will include silkies and barnyard mix chicks. Additionally, I have 13 silkie chicks that are still in need of a new home.

Chick-a-palooza! The hatching party is on, and I can't wait to cuddle up with my new feathered friends tomorrow! So far we have 16 babies. New head count when the hatching stops lol 😂
