Happy Birthday to our pack leader, Claire! 🎉🐾

If you’ve met her, you know how much she adores spending time with your furry friends. Claire is a mix of fun, love, and leadership—whether she’s being silly with the pups, giving them all the care they need, or ensuring they stay safe with her firm but gentle guidance. 🐶

You’ll often spot Claire dashing through the woods or racing along the beach with your dogs, and honestly, she wouldn’t have it any other way! ❤️

Look who’s back for a fun-filled weekend with us—it’s the lovely Milly! 🐶✨

This gorgeous beagle is staying with us for the second time, and we couldn’t be happier to have her. Milly is an absolute sweetheart—she loves playing with other dogs, chasing after toys, having cosy naps on our sofa and going on adventurous walks. But the best part? Her hilarious ‘meerkat’ pose when she’s asking for attention or treats—it gets us every time! 😂🐾

Oh, and did we mention she’s VERY food-oriented? Always on the lookout for a tasty snack! So glad to have you with us again, Milly! 💛

🎉🐶 Happy 6th Birthday to this handsome boy, Ronnie! 🎂🎈

Ronnie is an English Bulldog who’s a regular on our adventure walks and sometimes enjoys sleepovers with us. He’s what we call 'a gentle giant'—big and muscular, yet the sweetest soul ❤️.

He absolutely loves his walks, playtime, bum scratches, cuddles, and of course, naps on the sofa! Plus, he’s a social butterfly who gets along with dogs of all shapes and sizes, big or small 🐕🐾.

Happy birthday, big boy! We love having you as part of our pack! 🎊❤️

Another adventure walk complete! This morning, Ronnie, Bailey, and Buster had an amazing time exploring Balgownie Woods! 🐾🌿

Ronnie loved running around, but also took moments to soak in the scenery. Bailey was on a mission to collect every stick (and twig!) in sight, while Buster, at 11 years old, still thinks he’s a playful puppy—zigzagging left and right without a care in the world! 🐶💛

There’s nothing better than spending time outdoors in the sunshine with happy, adventurous pups! 🐕💕🐾

Look who's back for another overnight adventure – the charming Charlie! 🐶✨

This adorable young Jack Russell is full of energy and personality. He’s a playful pup who loves making new furry friends, chasing toys and sticks, and, of course, soaking up all the cuddles he can get! Plus, he never fails to keep us entertained with his fun-loving nature. ❤️

Tonight’s stay is all about helping him feel right at home before his big two-week visit next month. 🏡🐶

It’s the little things that make the biggest difference ✨.

Riley is always excited for his walks when his dad, Jeff, isn’t home, but when Jeff is around, he tends to hesitate—almost like he doesn't want to leave his dad behind 🥹.

But today was different! The moment Jeff opened the front door, Riley was ready to go —no hesitation, no coaxing! 🐶

Seeing him so eager and truly feeling like part of our pack was such a heartwarming moment. ❤️🐾

🐾 Furry Friend Highlight: Barbara & Alfie 🐾

Today, we wanted to take a moment to shine a spotlight on our beloved companions, Barbara and Alfie, who bring so much love and personality to the Steps and Stays family. ♥️🐾

✨ Barbara
Barbara joined us in November 2023, and since then, she’s been an absolute ray of sunshine. While she can be a little shy with new faces, once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll shower you with endless love. Babs is a foodie at heart and adores cuddles—she’s a pro at making you feel special! She’s great with other dogs and, despite her small size, isn’t afraid to set boundaries when needed.

✨ Alfie
Alfie has been part of our pack since March last year. With his bold personality, he can sometimes be a little dominant with male dogs, but we gently remind him every day who’s really in charge (spoiler: it’s us!). Beneath that strong exterior is a sweet, obedient, and incredibly cuddly boy who loves nothing more than playing fetch with his tennis ball.

❤️ The Dynamic Duo
Over time, Barbara and Alfie have developed a special bond. While the occasional bout of jealousy pops up, it’s becoming more common to catch them cuddling or keeping an eye on each other during pack walks.

We’re so lucky to have Barbara and Alfie as part of our family. They remind us every day why we do what we do! 🐕💛

We’re taking it slow this morning, and Hamish is more than happy to enjoy some extra cuddles indoors. ❤️🐾

We’re thrilled to have Hamish back with us for a few nights! 🐾

Hamish is a charming 13-year-old Standard Wire-Haired Dachshund who’s as sweet as they come. Despite a few health issues, he’s an absolute gentleman with a tail that never stops wagging! We also love his fantastic eyebrows. 💕

Hamish enjoys cosy naps in his bed (or our sofa—who could say no to that face?), gentle strolls, and plenty of love and cuddles. He’s happiest in a calm, peaceful environment, and we’re so pleased to provide him with the care and comfort he deserves. 🐶

We’re loving every moment with this delightful little old man! ❤️

Another adventure walk in the books with three furry friends: Ronnie, Buster and Cooper. 🐾

Despite the misty and chilly start to the day, these boys didn’t let it dampen their fun. 🐕

Ronnie had the zoomies in full force, Cooper couldn’t resist splashing in the water, and Buster was a magnet for half the forest – his fur told the story, haha!🌲😂

We explored the beautiful Devilla Forest, and it was absolutely awesome. ✨

Check out this handsome boy! Ozzy went for a spa session at Well Groomed yesterday, and now he looks even more dashing than usual! 🐾

Ozzy is a gorgeous Tibetan Spaniel we have the pleasure of walking regularly. 🐕

While he can sometimes feel a bit nervous around larger dogs, he's such a friendly and gentle soul. And his fur? It's softer than ever! 💕

Lovely to see Buster again! 🐶✨

We hadn’t seen him for three weeks over the festive season, and we really missed his lively energy! For those who don’t know him, Buster is an 11-year-old Cockapoo with the spirit of a puppy. 💛🐾

During our walks, he’s always on the go—left, right, and back again—busily investigating every scent. He also has a special love for water, whether it’s dipping his paws into streams, or even going for a swim! 🌊🐾

While he prefers exploring to playing with the other dogs, he’s never short on affection and loves showering us with kisses! ❤️🐕

🎉 Happy Birthday to the wonderful Renton! 🎂🐾 Renton holds a special place in our pack as the very first dog we started walking! 🥰

This lovely whippet turns 8 today, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate him. 💖 Renton gets along beautifully with all the dogs in the pack. He sometimes enjoys a good play session, but he’s just as happy doing his own thing. 🐕

We’ve also had the pleasure of looking after him in our home, where he’s a true specialist in napping on our sofa! 😴

One of our favourite things about Renton? His calm, meditative vibes during car rides—especially when he finds a sunbeam to bask in! ☀️🚗

One of our favourite games to play while walking your dogs is Find the Treat! 🐶 Not all pups enjoy this game—some prefer to keep their treats to themselves—but Scouty, Kirsty, Nelly, Barbara, Jock, Wallace, and Alfie absolutely love it! 🐕💛 We scatter a few treats among the leaves, and the dogs use their noses to sniff them out.
