I've spent my whole life for horses. I have never sold any with false information. My goal has always been to make sure horse and person match up. I tell people the worst about the horse. I want them to know what they are getting. That being said, I can only do so much when selling a horse for someone. I go by what I'm told, I evaluate the horse, spend time with it and sell it to the right home. Hopefully a match. I just recently had someone send me a message and said I am a "shady seller". Apparently a horse she bought almost two years ago has been coming up short. Her vet told her it's from an old injury. The last time I heard from the lady was a couple weeks after she bought her. She had the horse trimmed by a farrier that took out too much sole and trimmed her too short for barefoot. So, the horse was sore. She told me the "horse was lame". I said "no, your farrier butchered her feet.". That was the last I heard from her. The horse is incredibly bred and well trained. I figured she got past the sore feet and all was great. Nope. Just got the message today. I feel so bad for this mare. I cannot figure out WTH people do to them. I'm not used to getting bad mouthed by buyers. I guess I cannot win them all. 😩
