Hello and happy summer! We are writing you to let you know that J ‘n A Petsitters will no longer be in business, effective August 1, 2024.

J ‘n A started in 2016 as a way for the J, Joseph, to earn money for a band trip to Hawaii. In the eight years since then, this licensed petsitting company went from a few clients to well over 50. As Joseph progressed through high school, providing pet sitting along with his part-time job and studies, his younger sister Audrey, the A of J ‘n A, shouldered more and more of the responsibilities. With the demands of high school for Audrey and college for Joseph, the primary petsitting care was then shifted to the M ‘n D, or Mom and Dad. While we have happily worked as a family to provide you with quality care for your pets, it is time to say good-bye to the business.

Joseph graduated from the University of Alabama in May and is now embarking upon his professional career; Audrey is busy with her activities at ‘Bama and ROTC, and therefore unable to dedicate any meaningful time to petsitting care.

We have been honored and humbled that you have trusted us with your pets, and we thank you for your loyal patronage over the years. We will continue to provide services through the end of July. We can make arrangements to return any keys that you have left us, and will erase from our memory any door and alarm codes you have entrusted us with.

Good morning! J 'n A Petsitters would like to wish you a Happy April! In spite of the date, this post is NOT an April Fool's Day joke.

The A of J 'n A is graduating high school and due to the celebratory festivities, J 'n A will NOT be available for petsitting between May 14 - May 26.

Moving forward: A will be off to college come August (Roll Tide!), as will J, but J 'n A Petsitters will continue to provide services.

Back story: The petsitting company was founded by the J of J 'n A, to help fund a high school band trip. When J went off to college (Roll Tide!), the A of J 'n A continued the business with the help of the poorly paid interns M and D. Over the years, M and D have learned the trade from J and A, and feel confident that we can continue to provide the same quality care you have come to expect from J 'n A Petsitters.
. .So, when looking for care for your furred, finned, or feathered friends, keep J 'n A Petsitters in mind!

We can’t speak for the Post Office, but J ’n A managed to make all of our appointed rounds, in spite of the freak winter storm with icy roads. We had to adjust some of the regular times in order to be safe, and we had to clean up a couple of messes, but all of our charges are inside and warm!

Special thanks to the neighbor of one of our clients who was gracious and able to let out Jack and Julianna when we couldn’t make it over the mountain last night and early this morning!

Service Menu and Prices

New pricing for any new services booked starting 8/1/21

Our pricing is based upon how far you are from Bob Jones HS (based on the most direct driving route)

0 - 5 miles = services start at $10/visit.

5 - 8 miles = services start at $12/visit.

8-12 miles = services start at $14/visit

Pet Sitting: We will come to your home as often as you request to care for your furry and not-so-furry friends. During each visit, we will feed, water and play with them as well as let them out to do their business outside or clean the litter box as needed. We will retrieve and bring in mail, newspapers, and packages for you as well.

Price is per visit for the first pet. Note: Add $2 for each additional pet per visit.

**We can also take caged critters into my own house and care for them there, if you desire.

Add-on services:

· $2 take in/out garbage and recycling

· $1 water plants

· $2 leashed neighborhood walk (must specify desired route)

· $2 dog poo patrol

Hello everyone!

Starting August 1st, J 'n A Petsitters will be slightly increasing its prices. As usual, our pricing is based upon how far you are from Bob Jones HS based on the most direct driving route. The new prices are as follows:

>0-5 miles: services start at $10/visit (originally $8)
>5-8 miles: services start at $12/visit (originally $10)
>8-12 miles: services start at $14/visit (originally $12)

All additional pet and service charges (additional pets, grocery run, recycling/trash, p**p pickup, plant watering, leash walk) will remain the same as before. Any clients who have petsitting needs from the end of July into August will be charged the old amount; the new charges start for new care beginning on August 1st. The new charges will appear on the pinned post on August 1st.
