***ADOPTION POST***

Lilo is an utterly adorable little girl. She is keen to investigate her surroundings, and just loves to play. She is a sweetheart who will cuddle once she has played and eaten, but don't expect cuddles if you've not fed her! She loves a head scratch and enjoys being picked up.
She likes to climb, so you mustn't be precious about your furniture or curtains. She is incredibly active and would probably benefit from another young cat in the home for her to play with. She did have a brother, Stitch, who was fiercely protective of her. He sadly died. She has really come out of her shell since and is thriving.
Lilo is around five months old, but small for her age. She will be spayed before going to her forever home.
She is litter trained-we suggest a hooded litter tray for her as she does like to throw it around! She is up to date with her flea and worming treatments.

A certain hyperactive little kitty wanted to say hello.
Piper is healthy, very happy (if her purrs are any indication!) and growing like a w**d :)
She has a while to go yet before she will be ready for adoption, but we have other kittens ready and their adoption posts are coming soon- they have a photo shoot this week!

***Adoption Post***

(We are helping his current human find him the right home, he is not with us in the rescue)
Caradog is a gorgeous young, black cat who was a stray and who requires more access outside than he’s currently having. He lives on a small holding with plenty of space for him to explore, however he is not prepared to share all this space with the other little semi feral cat who also lives on the small holding, resulting in conflict when they see each other. Caradog is the younger and bigger of the two and has become super confident at the detriment of Little Ginger cat (there was an initial tolerance between them both) who’s petrified of him.
So when his owner is at work (full time), he’s inside, resulting in him becoming frustrated and unhappy. He does get to go outside before and after work, and more so at the weekend, but this is not enough for this young guy.
He does also love his creature comforts and absolutely loves a knee to sit or lay on (for hours sometimes) When he’s out and about at the weekend, he will come in for his afternoon nap and he snuggles on his bed and sleeps quietly all night. He likes affection on his own terms, so needs someone who will respect his space and understand cat body language, so adults only.
He likes to hunt and will bring his catch inside.
He can use a cat flap, which would be essential in his new home, so that he can come and go as he pleases. He’s also litter trained.
He’s already vaccinated, castrated, microchipped and is kept up to date with his flea and worm treatment. He’s had one instance of a cystitis, so he needs wet food as part of his diet (he has wet and dry food, with a bit of water added to his wet food) to reduce the chance of a recurrence and blockage.
Caradog needs to be the king of his own castle, in a rural location, with lots of outside space to explore, in a low cat populated area.

An unusual update now, about Aerona. Who remembers Aerona? The wonderfully loving girl who lost so much weight that she barely had the strength to stand up, her brother, Oscar, had to be put to sleep as his organs were failing and I told her that if she pulled through and gained weight she could stay here with me?
Well, she's gained the weight- you'd never know anything had been wrong. We've had amazing cuddles and she knows she is loved. My existing cats, however, not all fans of the lovely girl and she's been crated whenever i left the house for her own safety.
It's taken me a while, as she loves me as much as I love her, but I realised she would have a better life if she lived with someone else. Maybe someone with fewer mouths to care for.
Enter, as if on cue, a previous adopter who sadly just had to have her cat put to sleep (cat was Angel from the big rescue of 15 from a multicat property).
Lovely lady, wonderful home, lifelong animal lover and cat owner. Now looking for a companion, not a kitten or younger cat.
Serendipity.
Never one to deny such forces, earlier today I took Aerona to meet this lady. They got along so well that I came away with an empty carrier! She has moved in to her real forever home today.
I will visit for cuddles, as Aerona and I spent long hours cuddling and I'm going to miss her. I've shed a few tears, but I couldn't think of a better home for her to get all of the live and attention she needs and deserves.

Duke update:

Our gorgeous one eyed ginger lad has gone to his forever home this evening. His forever family are already besotted, and he nudged one of the cats out of the bed she was in before claiming it as his own!

He managed to charm my Dean before he left- Dean had just growled at him for weeks, but clearly Duke has real power!
(That was my clean bedding they are sleeping on!)

Cherry update.
She is running about and eating and everything normally, except she is a bit wobbly.
After much research, we are going to need around £300 to investigate what is causing her symptoms (blood test alone is £200), so that we can help her accordingly.

If you have fundraising ideas, this is the time to implement them! Every bit helps.

She is still running over my face with her claws out! Pic is the crime scene that is my face daily!

Cherry had a sleepover with her favourite vet so she could be monitored. She is glad to be back though, and seems to be herself again :)
It's thought she was just constipated but there was some concern about her size so they wanted to observe her eating and toileting. She's had some medication, so her bill is a little higher than i was anticipating, as usual, anything you can spare is gratefully received towards the vet bill. Thank you to everyone who donated to pay for her to get the clean bill of health xx
She is tiny, I do keep saying this! If she came into the rescue now, I'd estimate her to be maybe 12 weeks old from her size. She's almost 6 months old!
They've said she is fine though :) she has some ointment for the eye ulcer, but other than that, she doesn't worry them.
She's eaten two pouches of food, climbed all over everything, squared up to my adult cats, had a cuddle with Duke, sat on my hand to stop me typing this, and curled up on several different parts of me to con me into thinking she was going to have a sleep- all while purring away merrily!

Little Cherry needs to go to the vet :(
I think she is developing an ulcer in her eye and I want to get her breathing checked out.
We don't have funds to pay for a vet visit- as you know, we have to pay at the time due to our outstanding balance.
If you can spare a few quid to put towards her trip to the vet, it will be most appreciated. I'll book her in for tomorrow.

Thank you so much to the stall holders and the visitors who came out yesterday for the makers' market. It's a shame it was so quiet.
I left with £80 more than i had when i arrived- and went promptly to spend it on cat food!
Special thank yous to Jeanette for organising the day, and Kay who made and served the refreshments.
