Give your dog something to talk about! These are some of the locations I can walk your dog, and give them a real story to tell you afterwards about how they explored the countryside and coastal areas

of North Cornwall. Maybe they met new friends, or maybe a scent on the fresh wind had them excited. Either way, they'll have a wagging tail and a big yawn to show for the day's adventures. If your lifestyle, schedule or routine makes it tricky for you to walk your dog, I can do it for you and give you peace of mind your canine pal is being looked after in your absence.

About Me, Monty and Mabel
Hi, I'm Fran. I'm the founder and owner of North Cornwall Dog Walking. I've lived in North Cornwall since 2009. In that time, I have formed a deep love of this beautiful county, along with an understanding of its unique geography, climate and ways of life. Cornwall is a forever home for me, my family and my pets. I have owned dogs and numerous other pets all my life, and I've learned that walking is the key to happiness & wellbeing, both for humans and our beloved canine companions. I care deeply about animal welfare and your dog's time with me is top priority. When it's appropriate, most walks are shared with my own dogs, Monty, Mabel & Mocha. Monty, an Irish Setter & Collie cross, soon to be Agility Champion (of my heart, at least) was born in 2016 and is the most playful dog there is. Mabel is a rescued Irish Setter girl born in 2015, and she's wonderfully loving and sociable even with her troubled past. Mocha is our youngster, a little working cocker spaniel. He has taken on the role as my personal trainer running with me.

One of those days which would have been a sick day was my boss not so unforgiving… 👀
The dogs looked after me though, they just know. Taking things a bit slower together and just sitting in the sunshine appreciating being outside. Good doggos. And very good husband for giving me a hand, too ♥️
(and feeding me all day, every day)

Without the sideways rain, the ankle deep mud, the painful hail, the unforgiving, cold wind… would we appreciate the blue skies, the warmth of the sun and the hope of spring to come?
We’ll never find out. Working outside in all weathers and seasons, but being rewarded with moments like this.
*no sheer drop, very safe location in fact, always keep your dogs on a lead near cliff edges!

Monty is taking his healing process very serious! After his successful post OP check up at Penbode he treated us to lunch at the Wild Spirits Wellness Cafe ♥️ (bringing his sister along who clearly is unaware she is not a human..)
As he can’t join the group walks just yet, he says that’s the next best thing. And who doesn’t love to be told the turtleneck jumper looks great on him?!
Nothing changes for the rest the crew, feral adventure walks as always.

The whole crew on the Beach this morning, filling two big Dicky Bags and then some! Two pairs of hands, no problems.
Meanwhile our brave, big, strong lion Monty is recovering from his lump removal like an absolute trooper. He has 4 wounds in awkward places all over his body. The lumps are being sent in and in a few days we hopefully get good news that they are all benign. 🤞

He absolutely loves our adventures together but oh boy does he adore racing! He’s found his voice at the start line and goes for it the whole way round, while still looking after me and listening to the cues. Thank you, Mocha ♥️

WOW! Thank you to everyone who supported this years Irish Setters of Cornwall Walk & Cake, we raised £300 for the Indie Rescue Supporters 🍀
This rescue is really close to my heart after giving us Mabel many moons and grey hairs ago, but knowing what they do for Setters from all different circumstances - I will never stop supporting them. They helped Reggie, discarded after being abused by hunters. They helped Bronagh after being found as a stray tied to a chain. They help ex breeding dogs when they are no use to someone any more. They help any dog in need, no matter what the medical cost of it will be.

What a fabulous bunch 💐 took the whole crew to Cardinham this morning for a long walk and it was slowly getting busy around the woods, kids, dogs, bikes, but these boys and girls didn’t put a paw wrong!

As Presley checks in for an extended holiday, Reggie, Connie & Elsie’s stay is coming to an end and Oscar is one third into his adventure camp; as I understand humans less and less but speak dog more and more; as I’m on day zero of having no dog hair in my food; as I’m on day two hundred seventy two without a day off and another seventy two to go until the next;
… I know: this is more than a job, this is hard work, this is twenty four / seven and all year round, this is my life and I wouldn’t change it for the world; you will find me amongst these dogs, because they make sense when the world really doesn’t;
