Winter is coming 👀 so I doodled some snowflakes for this month's wallpapers!

I find that December is heavy on reflection for me. I tend to hermit, take a look at the year I had and the year ahead that I want to have. I love to have this reflective energy going into the new year, and at the same time, I find the real work doesn't begin until things really start to warm up in March.

There is so much resistance internally to pushing for or against something when it's colder out, and in many ways I live life very seasonally.

So as I head into my hermit season, I hope you find space to reflect and slow down in a holiday season that can oftentimes feel like we're being pulled in many different directions.

I've been thinking about all of the dirty dishes.

I've been thinking about all of the piles of clothes that are clean, but not put up.

I've been thinking about how we've been ordering take out more often.

And then I think: who tf cares?

There will be a time and place for a tidy house, and that time is certainly not now.

What really matters is the time and memories I'm creating with the people that matter most. And I'm doing a wholleeee lot of that, so I think we're doing pretty great - messy house and all.

As we settle into the second of the Ber months, I wanted to keep the cozy feeling that has been a big theme recently for me (and maybe you?).

This month's wallpaper is an invitation.

An invitation to start feeling cozy. As the weather cools and summer shifts to autumn, it's time to really nestle in.

I'm hoping for September to be a bit kinder on my soul. A bit more gentle.

What are you hoping for this month?

Fall gardening is in full swing, and to be honest, I've historically been incredibly terrible at it. Summer is my season!

So I'm taking a step back to experiment. I'm only planting 1 or 2 beds with fall plants and caring for them to see what works and doesn't.

I feel like I'm taking the same approach with Lucky Dog, caring and tending to a few spots and giving them my attention without feeling so scattered.

With the busiest time of the year coming up, this feels so right!

My hope is that this month brings you gentleness and clarity.

Ahhhhh summer is here!

Typically the summer is slow for my business, and in a way, more leisurely in my personal life. I long for more moments outside, more time exploring, more adventure.

Summer is my favorite.

And since things are typically slow, I decided to let go of a few things and really embrace the moment. Except for orders, the only thing I have on my list for the next three months is to just create.

Draw, paint, make more paper, garden, explore.
