Lola’s pups are 5 weeks old! They’ve been upgraded from the whelping box to a bigger pen. They’re mainly eating solids now as Lola doesn’t want to nurse them that much anymore. They love running around and chewing on things! I love seeing their personalities blossoming!

When you try to get a cute photo of all four puppies but it just turns into chaos. One of them is just trying to chew his way out, another is trying to climb over the others, another reverts to puppy eyes. While all of them whine the entire time because they “can’t get out”. Did I give in?… Yes. Yes I did😅🤣

A happy post! Lola’s remaining 4 puppies turned a week old yesterday! They are doing very well! Healthy, chunky babies!
And I just want to clarify if there are any doubts, Lola is a great mom! She is very attentive to her babies. She’s not as “glued” to them as Trixie tends to be but that doesn’t make her a bad mom. The first two puppies passed and it was no fault of Lola. She knew something was wrong so she turned her attention to her other healthy babies. The other puppy that passed I wasn’t there for but I highly doubt Lola intended to kill the puppy. It definitely looked like an accident. And even after the puppy passed Lola still licked on it. She’s a wonderful mama but I am happy that this is her last litter. She deserves to live a lazy, happy life (not that she didn’t before🙃)

I hate that I have to make another one of these posts… another one of Lola’s puppies passed away. I’m absolutely devastated. I came home from a stressful day at work and saw the puppy. It was perfectly fine when I left this morning and was fine when my brother in law checked on them this afternoon. It looks like the puppy was literally crushed. It’s hard to even describe but its little body was crushed. I’m so discouraged. I hit a breaking point when I saw that little puppy and just broke down. Please don’t give me any hate. I take care of my dogs. I don’t think I could’ve prevented anything. I’m just praying that the last four puppies stay healthy and survive…

Unfortunately two of Lola’s puppies passed away yesterday. They were a lot smaller than the other puppies. Lola seemed to know there was something wrong as she didn’t fully tend to them. She would lick on them but if they got separated from the litter she didn’t care. I took over taking care of them but there was probably something wrong internally. I worked really hard to keep them alive. It was heartbreaking 😔
The rest of Lola’s puppies are doing very well! She has 5 thriving, healthy puppies❤️

Chinook went to his new home today! He’s a big sweetheart and loves licking. He’s very adventurous and likes to dig🫣 He started to get “too big for his britches” and was beating up his smaller siblings. He would get put in his place when all of the puppies ganged up on him. His new home has an American bulldog so he’ll realize pretty quick that he’s not as big as he thought 😆

Trixie’s puppies are 5 weeks old today! They seem to really like my son. My son isn’t as sure though. Their personalities are really blossoming and I love seeing them discover new things! All of the puppies are now called for

Trixie’s puppies had puppy food for the first time! They loved it! Trixie doesn’t want to feed them as much now that they have teeth. So they were especially hungry and ate all that I gave them
