Heartbroken to announce that my dear Bernard crossed the rainbow bridge recently. He developed a silent URI that wasn’t caught in time. Fly high my dear blue boy. We’ve made memories I’ll forever cherish. 💙

Tickling Whiskers Rattery will be continuing my work. I'm super excited and grateful. She's located in North Carolina and can more easily work with ground transporters for those who want to continue getting rats from my bloodlines. As you can see, she will have all of my lines and genes. Give her a follow!

Listing the bulk of my remaining rats on my website on 9/22 at 11am. Breeders will have priority for the first few hours and then pet homes can reserve. Prices have been slashed to help them find homes quickly, and breeders with established ratteries get a special deal. The first *pickup* date is 9/29. Flexible pickup scheduling for transporter pickup. This is one of your last chances to get WWC rats! Thank you for your support ❤️

A huge batch of rats (the second to last availablility listing from my ratttery) will be listed on my website within the next few days including this beautiful boy. Exact time/day will be announced in a second post. Most rats have been moved into smaller caging and will be listed on my site with photos of them in numbered bins with info about what sex/genes are in that bin. This is to help with organization. Breeders who wish to reserve will be favored for selection. Accepting a limited number of breeders to reserve from my remaining stock. Also might be listing huge boxes of brand new toys/supplies, rat breeding bins, and triple critter nations complete with bass equipment stainless steel base and shelf pans and stainless steel scatter guard. I also have a critter nation add on unit new in box. It’s possible that someone may be taking the entire setup but I’ll know either way soon.

Over the next 5-6 weeks or so, I am selling all remaining rats, and my triple critter nations complete with bass equipment pans and scatter guards, water bottles, tons of unused toys and hammocks, bulk grape wood, and breeding bins. Can y’all stop calling my rats fat please…. My rats aren’t fat nor do I “breed for obesity.” It just appears that they are fat due to how I hold them, their large size, their thicker build, and the extra skin they tend to have. Just because my lines don’t look like someone else’s lines doesn’t mean they’re obese/fat. I was recently reminded how toxic the rat breeding community is. While I have nothing to prove, I don’t mind setting judgy people straight. Bernard was a little chubby in his younger days but never obese by my HANDS ON assessment. He can actually afford to gain a few grams now at 17 months old. I haven’t weighed him in a long time but I’d guess he’s right around 750-825. He takes up my thigh and yet when held up for body condition with his skin out of the way you can clearly see he’s not fat….at all. The only rats in my rattery who are fat are a few of my dwarf and I think Angelina could afford to lose a few grams. Anyways, happy almost spring everyone. I’m super excited to be nearing rattery-remodel completion. ❤️

I’ve recently started the process of relocating/renovating/remodeling my rattery. I’m hoping everything is done by April at the absolute latest. In the meantime, things are very hectic so I’ve cut down on breeding and will have low availability for a while. That said, if you’re hoping to reserve rats from me, keep close watch of my website because I do have some babies to be listed soon. I greatly appreciate the patience of my hopeful adopters while I navigate this busy busy new year!
