Native North American Totems
Not including the totem pole, many Native North American tribes had or have traditions providing every person with nine different animals that will accompany them throughout life. These animals act as guides, surfacing in our lives depending on where we head and what we need at a given moment. One of those animals in particular is said to be your "totem animal;" it is

the animal that is with you for life, both in the physical and spiritual world. Many people have a variety of different animal spirits but their "totem animal" is their main guide through life.

One of the reasons Wayzgoose is one of my favourite days is because of the people who attend the event. I had the most wonderful conversation with an elderly couple about papermaking, where the wife was blind and the husband very lovingly described what I was doing, and what items on my table looked like, it was so sweet. Just two of the sweetest, most enjoyable people I had the pleasure to converse with today along with many others

One of my favourite creative ventures is creating recycled handmade paper and items, papermaking kits and supplies and hand bound books! My next show that I’m a vendor at is Wayzgoose Book Arts Fair at the Grimsby Public Art Gallery, in Grimsby Ontario, Canada. It’s an awesome fun day all around and it’s free! Hope to see you there!
