Hello, I'm MAX "The Wonder Dog!"
This is my‼️URGENT Adoption or Rescue‼️call to all the amazing humans out there.

I'm still a puppy! I'm a 14-month-old neutered, 60lb male Australian Shepherd seeking a dog savvy home who is ready to give me guidance, set boundaries, make sure I take my naps and train me to understand this fantastic and fun world! Man, I am sooo ready!

I love to hike, go on walks, ride in the car, play tug, and I while I enjoy the water, I'm not sure I like to swim, but am willing to try! After all, I am an outgoing, smart and handsome Aussie.
I'm cool with other friendly dogs, not sure I like cats yet and right now, I am not good with kiddos since I am still a teenager and need some structure. Bonus! I walk pretty peacefully on a leash and don't react in public when there are other dogs or people around.

Darling Jenny came to us from a shelter several years ago and was adopted by a loving family with cats. All is good with the cats but the young grandkids are a little bit much for her. We are helping the owner look for a home that fits her needs better. Here’s what her mama has to say about her….

Meet Jenny! She's a 5-year-old Australian Cattle dog mix. Jenny would be a great dog for a family without children. She gets along well with cats and other dogs. Jenny's family has had her for two years and she has come a long way She is potty trained but not so fond of crates. Jenny does best on a gentle lead, no pull leash and loves walks on trails. She can be protective of her owner because she bonds deeply. Jenny does not chew up your belongings. She does like to be inside near her people. Jenny can stay alone in the house and not make a mess. She loves hugs and sleeping with you or on her dog bed. Jenny waits patiently to come inside and doesn't scratch on the door. She never counter surfs. Jenny enjoys car rides too.

HAPPY ADOPTION DAY TO LILLY! Her foster mama Terra and I took Lilly to her new home with David and Carrie. It was very difficult for Terra to let the almost perfect, Lilly, go but she knows that she’s in good hands with David, Carrie and pack of pups❤️

Update post on Lilly from her foster mama.

“Lilly is an enthusiastic adventure enjoying dog. She is leash trained and is a good running/hiking partner. A good match for Lilly would be a family or person who enjoys the great outdoors. She would also do great in a home with other dogs and loves to play with any dog who will play with her. At the dog park she’s super fast, loves to run and can turn on a dime. Lilly has shown to have good recall and comes when called. With humans she does not know, she is cautious at first but comes out of her shell quickly. Once Lilly gets to know you she is a loving snuggle bug and she lives for love. She is a sweet and sensitive dog who bonds strongly with people that love her and there’s a lot to love here. Lilly loves car rides too. In the house she just chills and waits patiently for the next adventure. She is a quiet, crate trained dog and very polite in her behaviors.”

HAPPY ADOPTION DAY TO FURIOSA aka FURY! She went to her new home with Jason and Ali who previously adopted Freddy. Coincidently, both Heeler puppies were being given away at Christmas time at Walmart about a year apart. They both now are in a loving home together and have lots of hiking in their futures❤️

Calling Heeler lovers! We would love to hear from some of our past adopters for this girl Furiosa. She is truly in our hearts and we’ll be hard pressed to let her go anywhere except to the very best of homes. We really try to get every puppy/dog the best home but letting them go when you have fallen in love is difficult. Having history with an adopter and knowing who they go to makes it a little bit easier. We’re so happy to announce that Sparky was adopted a couple weeks ago. The family has said this…"Sparky hesitated the first initial days to nap even though he couldn't keep his eyes open. So Kevin laid down with him to help him relax, and they both feel sound asleep on the dog bed."

We are filled with joy for them all❤️

Yesterday we got a phone call from an unknown caller. It was a man asking if this was River’s Rescue. He then proceeded to ask if we had a dog by the name of Nyx (which we do). He then said her name is Harriet. And before we could ask any questions…CLICK! So we’re posting this in the event that it was you that made that call. We appreciate having her real name but would be love to ask some non judgemental questions.
