Meet Eden!

This super cute girl is the quintessential lap puppy. She's just perfectly content to lay on a lap as long as she's allowed to do so. Eden is great at sticking with you when outside. She comes to a kissing sound already.

Eden arrived with one of her littermates (Eden is lighter and Echo is darker) yesterday on a flight. The pilot called them "chill, fat little puppies" and so far that's what we are seeing too. They are starting with potty training and crate training. They received their first vaccinations on 1/27 and are scheduled to get their second set on 2/25 along with getting microchipped and dewormed.

A picture of the Spaniel mama included. Papa is unknown. Stay tuned for more on these cutie patooties.

Meet Roxie!

Roxie's owner lost her job and home so Roxie came to us to find a new home.

Roxie, a Tri mini Aussie, is almost three years old and weighs about 25-30 lbs.

A little more about Roxie is that she takes a little time to warm up to new people. She will need an adult home with someone that can be patient in letting her build up trust. Once she trusts, she's easy to leash up and jumps right up into the car.

Today was Roxie's vet appointment where she got vaccinations and microchipped. She is scheduled for spay on February 27.

We are accepting applications for Roxie now.

Hazey came to us as a little tiny thing. Then she got all of her puppy vaccination series, broke a leg and healed in between and finally spayed before being adopted yesterday. Have a happy life with Ellen and Craig❤️

Meet Flower!

Our wonder foster mama Lori was able to take this beautiful little Border Collie (mix?) puppy so that she could exit the shelter. Flower is spayed and has started her puppy vaccination series. She will soon be receiving her booster vaccinations and microchipped too.

Flower is about 3 months old and is an absolute sweetheart! She seems to have an interest in balls so may end up becoming good at bringing a ball back to you. Flower has a short, easy to maintain coat. While she is in foster, she’ll be crate trained, and work on leash and potty training. Flower will also be exposed to cats and other small/medium sized dogs as well.

We are accepting adoption applications for her now.

Hi y'all, I'm Trooper & I'm 2! I'm a neutered border collie/heeler mix who's been vaccinated. I'm in need of an immediate h♡me! I am the sweetest, goodest boy & so eager to please! I'm potty trained, crate trained, and know basic commands. I shy & warm up quickly and love kisses!! I 💖 being by my packs side, doing whatever & I'm also great at keeping myself company. I love to play ball, carrying around my babies, playing tug of war, and bringing whatever toys I have to share and show off with you! I am extremely gentle and would do great with any loving family or my human. I love going to breweries and kids often come up and give me treats. I don't know how I would do with cats without proper training but I am easy going with my pup friends that I know. I also love runs and hikes or just a couch cuddle and would make a perfect bud. I am medium energy and only get riled up when I greet someone at the door because I am so happy to be the greeting crew. I will be your faithful, furever companion and I got my name because I back The Blue! 💙 Please rescue/adopt or foster me today!!!

Hello, I'm MAX "The Wonder Dog!"
This is my‼️URGENT Adoption or Rescue‼️call to all the amazing humans out there.

I'm still a puppy! I'm a 14-month-old neutered, 60lb male Australian Shepherd seeking a dog savvy home who is ready to give me guidance, set boundaries, make sure I take my naps and train me to understand this fantastic and fun world! Man, I am sooo ready!

I love to hike, go on walks, ride in the car, play tug, and I while I enjoy the water, I'm not sure I like to swim, but am willing to try! After all, I am an outgoing, smart and handsome Aussie.
I'm cool with other friendly dogs, not sure I like cats yet and right now, I am not good with kiddos since I am still a teenager and need some structure. Bonus! I walk pretty peacefully on a leash and don't react in public when there are other dogs or people around.

Darling Jenny came to us from a shelter several years ago and was adopted by a loving family with cats. All is good with the cats but the young grandkids are a little bit much for her. We are helping the owner look for a home that fits her needs better. Here’s what her mama has to say about her….

Meet Jenny! She's a 5-year-old Australian Cattle dog mix. Jenny would be a great dog for a family without children. She gets along well with cats and other dogs. Jenny's family has had her for two years and she has come a long way She is potty trained but not so fond of crates. Jenny does best on a gentle lead, no pull leash and loves walks on trails. She can be protective of her owner because she bonds deeply. Jenny does not chew up your belongings. She does like to be inside near her people. Jenny can stay alone in the house and not make a mess. She loves hugs and sleeping with you or on her dog bed. Jenny waits patiently to come inside and doesn't scratch on the door. She never counter surfs. Jenny enjoys car rides too.

Yesterday we got a phone call from an unknown caller. It was a man asking if this was River’s Rescue. He then proceeded to ask if we had a dog by the name of Nyx (which we do). He then said her name is Harriet. And before we could ask any questions…CLICK! So we’re posting this in the event that it was you that made that call. We appreciate having her real name but would be love to ask some non judgemental questions.

A couple years ago, Shrek wouldn’t have been for adoption long. In today’s sluggish adoption market this wonderful, adorable boy is still here🤷‍♀️

Adoptable, sweet as pie, Shrek is looking for his forever home! Great medium size at about 20lbs and just shy of one year old. Gets along with all dogs and good with cats as well❤️

The wagging tail is a good sign❤️

Adoptable Gemma is a gentle girl that is great with puppies, cats and other dogs.
