First field trip of the year with these girls tomorrow 🐝🍯
We’re headed to an elementary school to bring a little piece of the farm to the classroom — complete with my observation hive and some buzzing energy! 🐝🌼

We’ll be sharing the magic of pollination, honeybees, and how plants like marigolds help keep ecosystems thriving. 🌻💛

Nature offers us many lessons about growth. When snakes outer layer of skin doesn’t grow with them, it sheds it. Shedding skin is widely seen as a symbol of rebirth, renewal, and transformation. It can symbolize leaving the old behind, that can be people, their opinions, critics, old thoughts, dead situations and letting a new energy come through.

The ability to rebuild yourself from hardships, is a powerful testament to growth. Keep growing and creating more each day.

Today at farm camp we explored all the goodness of food preservation. We used nothing but fresh picked ingredients, including fresh garlic, garlic scapes, fresh cucumbers, dill, and of course lots of love to can some delicious pickles! Canning is a valuable tool for any family to learn to help preserve their garden bounty. I’m glad I could share some of the basics with this group! Food preservation is a vital skill ❤️🌱🌱🌱

Farm camp is about connecting the farm to table experience and boy did we enjoy the fresh kale pesto, bits of arugula flowers to garnish our board, roasted purple and yellow cauliflower, fresh basil and mozzarella. I showed this group how to transform fresh foods, to make it delicious, nourishing, and from field to the fork. I’m proud to see these kids explore food in such a beautiful and communial way 🐝🙏🏾🥬🥬🥬🥬🌱🌱🌱🎉🎉
