If anyone was wondering why we've gone quiet, well here it is:

Baz came in from the field with a rather annoying cut on his hind coronet band. He's 100% sound and has been impeccably behaved during all of his treatments, bandage changes and downtime. Unfortunately, it's just one of those wounds that needs time to heal and is located in an area of high movement. We should be able to crack on with our autumn campaign soon albeit later than originally planned. Huge thank you to Coach House Vets my mum & Jasmine Jenkins for all your hard work looking after my boy!🫶🏼

Freelance groom, rider and coach looking for more morning hours in and around Basingstoke, Reading and Newbury🙋🏼‍♀️ previously worked for Fox-Pitt Eventing and regularly out competing at 4*🇿🇦
Not looking to ride feisty young horses as I can't afford to get injured but I am a very capable rider. Minimum of 3 hours yard work required and mileage will be added if over 20mins from home. I teach at riding schools and coach amateur adults across a multitude of disciplines. Not quite the fairy tale ending we were hoping for but a perfect opportunity to reflect on how far we've come!

I went from running around the 70cm at ICB and Northern Farms to campaigning at 4* in the UK and all over Europe!! My love for eventing sparked in South Africa, growing into a raging fire as I ascended the levels - getting braver and daring to reach for bigger goals🔥I was blessed with incredible ponies and horses that gave me the confidence to believe that I was capable of chasing my dreams. None of this would've been possible without the support of my long suffering parents who have given me every opportunity and more to succeed ❤️

I then made the move to the UK & landed at the best training ground possible - Fox-Pitt Eventing! I was pretty useless as a groom to start, but thanks to the patience and dedication of the wonderful team at FPE, I was brought up to speed and learnt everything about eventing at the very top level of the sport. I threw everything I had into learning my trade and have grafted everyday with the big dream in mind. Thankfully, I found the most incredible horse a girl could ever ask for in the form of Basil❤️ we never expected Baz to be where he is today and he has exceeded expectations at every step of this journey. We went from BE100 to 4* in 3 years together!!
We have had the privilege of competing with the best of the best at world class venues - Hartpury, Blenheim, Bramham, Millstreet, Kronenberg & Strzegom 🤯
We are still learning and growing together and I cannot wait to see what we have yet to achieve, the sky is the limit with my boy ❤️

I don't think I can accurately put into words how I feel with regards to the Olympics but I am immensely proud of how far we've come. Everyone at team AME wishes Alex Peternell & Norman all the best for Paris - we know you will do team South Africa proud🇿🇦🇿🇦

I am optimistic that South African Eventing will only grow from here! Wouldn't it be fantastic to have a team for the Nations Cup & WEG?? I can only hope that we all pull together and support each other fairly🤞🏼

We went to Poland!! We competed in our first Nations Cup!! 🤯 We got another 4* MER!! 🙌🏼
What an incredible journey we have been on over the past 5 years and I could not have asked for a better partner through it all! Bazman, you have a heart of pure gold and I'm a winner everyday with you in my life❤️
I cannot thank everyone that has supported us along the way enough, 'thank you' simply doesn't seem to justify the immense feeling of support that we have felt from home and across the globe🌍❤️🇿🇦 I am so eternally grateful for the opportunities I've been given, the connections I've made, the lessons I've learnt and the experience gained! To my fantastic support team, family, friends, sponsors, owners, grooms, club members & fans - none of this would've been possible without you all!!!❤️
We have done all that we can do, now we can only keep our fingers crossed for the opportunity of a lifetime 🤞🏼🇿🇦🤞🏼🇿🇦

Although not the result we were hoping for on paper, we have ticked off another major venue, another dream come true weekend and added invaluable experience to our partnership 💪🏼 What A Horse, Basil dug deep and was a true teammate around a testing 4*-S track, thank you my boy❤️

What a weekend 🤪🫣🥴

We have our final qualification for Paris! 🎉🇿🇦😁

Over the moon with my super horse who dug deep around a tough 4*-S! We had a disappointing start to our weekend with a less than ideal dressage score, but we have spoken to the boss and there is a major plan in place to sort it out! Sue McMahon Dressage
We went on to a super jumping round, hugely improved from Thoresby, tipping just one pole and gaining a handful of time faults. Thank you Austin O'Connor Eventing for all your help!
By far the most challenging element of XC was that we were the second last horse to go with two holds before our turn! I had to keep Baz alive and with me for much longer than ideal before getting our chance to attack the track. Luckily my boy was with me all the way clear and we just picked up a few time faults to finish on 59 penalties. We finished middle of the pack (but the pack was mostly Badminton horses😂).
I am still digesting everything that happened this weekend and cannot thank my team enough for supporting me through this continuous emotional rollercoaster ❤️

We kick on to the Advanced at Cirencester at the end of the month and then to Bicton 4*-S. Back to work💪🏼

This weekend we are at Burnham Market for the 4*-S😁 Barefoot Retreats
It's dry, windy, occasionally sunny, pretty warm, I have full signal (touches wood) AND the going is perfect 🤩 so excited to tackle this track to try gain our final qualification for the Paris Olympics 🤞🏼🇿🇦

Despite our best efforts, unfortunately Bazman does not like sticky mud. We had a tense dressage test and a few too many poles down so we decided to withdraw and save his legs for another day!
