Dog Days Every day in shelters across this country thousands of dogs and cats are euthanized needlessly. Please adopt don't shop! But are you getting a healthy puppy?

Every day across this nation thousands of puppies are sold in pet shops and on the internet. On Craig's List alone backyard breeders and puppy mill runners have literally thousands of puppies listed daily. Puppy mill and backyard breeders now have web sites selling their puppies as well. Are you getting a puppy that is well socialized? In many cases the answer is no. Please consider adopting from

local shelters or rescue organizations in lieu of purchasing from an unknown who's animals live in misery and that cute puppy you get will have poor health or be unfit by the time it's a few months old and YOU will want to dump it into a shelter because you have no clue how to train it. Millions of companion animals are euthanized in shelters across this country every year. Please do not add to that burden. If you are breeding dogs in your backyard and selling them on Craig's List or elsewhere then you are part of the problem and many of your puppies will end up dumped at shelters only to be killed or if they get lucky enough rescued. Puppy mills are even worse than the casual breeder as they treat the animals worse than you can imagine. Cramped crowded cages, no health care, when they die they are simply replaced with another poor miserable soul to pump out babies until it too dies a horrible death. Please don't support backyard breeders or puppy mill sellers. Adopt from a local rescue in your area or the local shelter. Put these horrible people out of business by NOT buying their puppies! There is information and photographs among the postings of this page that may offend or upset some people. Note this is all true and people need to be aware of the cruelty and deceit of back yard breeders and puppy mills who do not properly care for the parents nor puppies. Hopefully less people will buy sick dogs from people who should not even be breeding them. Spay and neuter must become more widely done or shelters will continue to destroy millions of animals every year for no other reason than they are homeless. Adopt don't shop please!

💔 It's with a heavy heart that I share this post, hoping to find a loving home for two precious souls who have recently faced an unimaginable loss. Their devoted mom, an OR nurse, tragically passed away last night, leaving behind her beloved companions, Sadie and Shuga. These inseparable girls, aged four and 2 1/2, share an unbreakable bond and need to find a home together.

Sadie and Shuga are more than just pets; they were everything to their mom. Well-socialized and adored by all, they've attended church events and have a special fondness for spending time with children. They're spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on heartworm preventative.

Their mama's love knew no bounds – she took them on walks, snuggled with them at night, and cherished every moment together. Now, they're left bewildered and in need of a new family to call their own.

If Sadie and Shuga speak to your heart, please consider opening your home to them. Visit www.texasacr.org to fill out an adoption application. And please, share their story far and wide, as together, we can help these sweet girls find the love and comfort they deserve in this difficult time. 🐾❤️
