Dare I say we have had three and a half amazing good boy weeks with a 16 month old intact male boxer boy? Loose leash skills, great stays, recalls, all the things so perfect! Holding my breath! I am sure we will have moments but wow!! 🤩🥰😍 good boy Racer! Consistency and love are the magic trick!

Vermont eclipse day! It got cold and dark. The birds got quiet. All you could hear was the trickle of the stream. The dogs issued some quiet barks. Then it was over! It was amazing.

Cuddled up riding out the big storm. Power loss of about 24 hours. 18 inches of snow! Thanks to the linesman for working through all the weather and getting us back online!!

Incredible seminar in NY at PCOTC with Kamalfernandezdogtraining. Very very affirming to the path I am on as a dog trainer. I did not want it to end. So many nuggets and life changing training knowledge. I feel revitalized and inspired as a trainer. Kamal has owned a very broad range of dog breeds, and competed successfully in a broad range of dog sports in a force free non coercive manner…. including a boxer who is related to Racer!! His insight and advice was on point. He is very engaging and human. He meets people where they are and gets them really thinking. By far the best seminar I have ever done. I look forward to his return to the US! I won’t miss it!

After a nice long Sniffari around the edge of the Bristol Rec fields we moved on the Village green. Had a nice Sniffari there and worked on Sit Stay and Down Stay in a distracting environment. Down stay was harder! Less duration.

While waiting for take out, Racer and took a spin around the Village green in Bristol for a Sniffari. He was ssooo good on leash, all 85 pounds of him. Wonderfully socially neutral. Could look at dogs and people at a distance with calm and move on his way. Even other dogs who were showing too MUCH interest in us. As I took these photos there was a dog walking behind us. Love this boy so much💕💕💕. You could walk him with your pinky on a flat collar! Moonracer Von Bachbett. Almost 15 months.

One year ago my human flew out to the wild Midwest to get me. One look and I knew she was mine and I had her under my charms. Loved my plane rides. Had good snacks. Got to my new house and met all of my new family and it was love!! It’s been a rock and roll party ever since!!

Went to Gardener’s Supply and did a big Sniffari! Worked on some stays. It was really hard and human had to make it easier for me to be successful. It was fun to watch the fishes and everything smelled nice. Human got a baby plant for a nice pot she had.

For Racer’s socialization today we went to the Bristol village green. Got to see random people walking around. Guys in hats, kids zooming around, lots of sniffing cool stuff…. And the JUNGLE GYM!! He was in love with the toddler slide and kept doing it over and over. Gotta love his fearlessness😍. I can truly say I’ve never had a dog that likes going down the slide!

Super Proud of Blanche for putting up with me in Maine this weekend(Thank you Mid-Coast Kennel Club of Maine). I’ve been working on distance handling a lot because I can’t really run with my knee being bone on bone. I loved this NQ run because she was amazing!!! Human screwed up the end because I was late cueing her where to go next and I was not where I should have been. Great way to end and step away from agility for a while I recover from my full knee replacement next week! Can’t wait to get back to it after the new year some time. Blanche and I will miss it sooo much💞❤️🔥.
