Join us for three weeks in Montana to transcend your horsemanship to a new level. Either bring your horse to study liberty and bridleless OR get paired with a wild Mustang to go through the taming foundations.

Of course, participants get the first option to adopt the Mustangs they gentle, or you can help give them the skills to become an adoptable partner for someone else. And if you would like to learn the art of Advanced Liberty and Bridleless, but cannot bring your horse, we have ones here that we can match you with.

This will be an educational and fun three weeks shared with people who, for some, will become lifelong friends. Whether a first-time horse owner wishing to dive in with the support of knowledgeable teachers or an established professional seeking to evolve their ways, any level horsewoman or horseman is welcome for this unforgettable training opportunity.

Dreaming of learning how to gentle a wild horse by deep diving into energetic and liberty techniques?

This year in Montana, Kelly Wilson and Hannah Catalino will share their combined vast knowledge with a small group of dedicated individuals who wish to connect with wild horses on a deeper level, progressing through their unique taming milestones.

And if you prefer to learn how to advance your skills with Liberty and Bridleless, wild horses aside, you can opt to bring your own horse or get matched with one here and transcend your horsemanship skills. Topics will include, but are not limited, to the lay down, sit up, liberty spin, side pass to the mounting block, pedestal training, Spanish walk, and all the foundation needed to advance into Bridleless work should that be your ambition.

Kelly and Hannah’s revolutionary understanding of equine behavior goes beyond conventional methods, making this Workshop unlike any other offered in the World. Equine enthusiasts of all levels, from beginner to professional, are welcome.

We have two major changes to announce about our Global Wild Horsemanship program. If you joined us last year in any of our workshops in New Zealand, Australia, or the United States, there is a new 20% Alumni discount for repeat students to help support continual learning.

And in the US in June/July, and NZ in December, we are opening an Advanced Liberty and Bridleless option with your own horses, or get matched with one here. While we did give this a try last year, the students were both taming wild mustangs and working a second horse for the more advanced work, which we felt was too much information to fit in! This year, it’s one or the other. You can either come to learn about gentling a Mustang/Kaimanawa at liberty OR learn advanced liberty or bridleless.

This is an excellent option for students wanting to bring back horses from last year and continue training with them, or for those that already own their dream horse and want to advance its training (the horse doens’t have to be of wild origin to make the most of this oppotunity)!

Like last year, we will also be offering domestic and international clients the chance to lease a Mustang or Kaimanawa for the workshops, without having to purchase it. This includes wild horses, who will remaining in training with Hannah or Kelly before being matched with their new home, or a pre-tamed horse who is ready for the advanced work.

Our New Zealand workshop is hosted by Kelly Wilson, who has dedicated over 13-years to advocating for the plight of the Wild Kaimanawa herd.

Her purpose build Wild Kaimanawa Sanctuary allows for upwards of 14 horses in training from the musters and this year will be no different. In just 10-weeks international and national clients will arrive at her place in Taupō to begin taming the wild horses and give them a second chance at a life in domestication.

Applications are open for our USA Global Wild Horsemanship Adventures workshop, where students learn how to tame wild mustangs with kind and effective techniques, build a bond and relationship with their mustangs at liberty, and transition them into the domestication process.

This will be our second year offering this unique and educational experience. Participants can also join us to view horses in the wild before beginning the taming process at Hannah Catalino Liberty Horsemanship’s facility in Montana.

It is also optional to keep the Mustang that the students gentle, or to help gentle a Mustang for someone else; these horses will remain witb Hannah to be paired up woyh a suitable home post-workshop.

Also, last year, we had four mustangs go to international adopters, and we can help find Sale Authority horses if the participants don't live in the US.

This winter we have two breeds of wild horses to tame; the New Zealand Kaimanawa horses in April/May, and the American Mustangs in June/July!

If you've always dreamed of a bucket-list wild horse taming experience, these 21-Day workshops are not to be missed.

There are options to keep the horse you tame, or to lease a horse for the experience, that will then be further produced by the GWHA trainers before being matched with a suitable home.

Our next workshop is set to take place in Taupo, New Zealand from the 29th April to the 18th of May!

This workshop works with the wild Kaimanawa horses which roam wild in the central plateau of the North Island. Each year the herd is mustered to maintain numbers, with the public given the opportunity to rehome them (historically anything unhomed was send to slaughter).

By joining our Wild Kaimanawa Workshop you'll not only give a Kaimanawa horse a second chance at domestication, but you'll also transform your own horsemanship journey.

In terms of population, the top for countries with the largest wild herds are:

1: Australia
2: USA
3: Canada (managed by predators currently, not human)
4: New Zealand

This year, thanks to our amazing connections in Europe, we are offering a new European format 10-Day Workshop to help make it more possible for adopters to not only tame a wild horse, but also take it home with them.

1 - 10 AUGUST 2025 (AUTUMN)
Under the expert guidance of Kelly Wilson and Hannah Catalino, you’ll witness and participate in the art of gentling wild Mustangs using proven, relationship-focused methods. Each day is a masterclass in creating calm, confident horses ready to thrive in their new human partnerships.

WILD MUSTANG + OWNERS PACKAGE
Tame your very own Mustang in the US and take it home with you! Come to the US Workshop to tame your Mustang and have the chance to preselect your wild horse, from photos, before you arrive. You'll have the privilege of being the first to connect with your Mustangs and in doing so, play a vital role in saving it from the BLM yards and giving it a second chance at life. The price includes the purchase price of the horse, plus 4-weeks of additional training with Hannah Catalino before it's exported to Europe.

MUSTANG LIBERTY PACKAGE
Don't want to keep your Mustang? Audit as the wild horse participants tame their horses, then be mentored through the liberty milestones with a semi-wild horse from our USA, 21-Day Workshop who were tamed just a few weeks earlier.

ADOPT OR CHANGE A LIFE
For those wanting to purchase their Mustangs, they will be specially sourced for immediate export, giving international participants a rare chance to adopt and tame their very own Mustang. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to not only tame a wild Mustang but also take it home with you! For those unable to keep their Mustang, you can still play a crucial role in fulfilling an adopter's dream by gentling a wild horse that Hannah will later match with its forever home.

Manawa’s skillset grew in leaps and bounds during our three week Mustang Training Workshop! He was given the challenging job of working with Moana and Clyde, two very sensitive Mustangs who were mustered just six months prior. With Manawas patience they both finishing with some amazing progress over the three weeks ☺️

Our final week with the once wild Mustangs was a busy one and we couldn't be prouder of the horse's progress and of the clients too! What an amazing bunch of humans and horses. We feel so fortunate to have worked with you all, and can't wait to follow your progress in the years to come.

It’s always an honour to witness wild horses out on the ranges 🇺🇸

Week two is complete and what a big week it has been! We have had so many case studies to work through and have loved the amazing learning experiences. Now we are on to our final week and we can't wait to tick off our final milestones before our clients go home 😊

As a part of our American tour, we got to spend a few days up in the Mountains of Montana, observing Mustangs in their natural state! 🇺🇸 This was such a good oppurtunity for the clients to see authentic wild horse behaviour, and how they communicate and function within their bands.
