I realize that there is a ton of information out there that one can find to support whatever it is that they want to believe for their dog. There are strong arguments on all sides for and against any topic you desire and let me just say, do whatever you feel is best for your pet just know that there is a reason that we have done certain things for decades, generally because it is the most economical working model.

If you have a female dog you need to understand that her uterus is a ticking time bomb. I completely understand that it costs you money and sometimes a lot of money to have your female spayed but it costs you a whole lot more money to have her spayed when she has a pyometra.

It is estimated that 1 out of every 4 intact female dogs will develop a pyometra by the time they are 10 years old. I would suggest to you that that number doubles after 10 years old and increases every year. Having been practicing for almost 30 years and half of that right here, the rate of pyometras absolutely increases every year older they get.

If you think anesthesia is a risk when you female is healthy, it is exponentially greater when their white cell count is 100,000 or more and their body is at risk of going septic. This isn't one of those let's have an argument over what some random study says you should or should not do. Your beloved fluffy developing a pyometra the older she gets is huge and would you not rather have her spayed before it becomes a life saving procedure?

Please, spay your old females before they become a pyometra. Everything is easier and cheaper if you have it done before it becomes a life threatening problem. Trust me, your dog will thank you for it and so will your bank account.

***** We have someone to pick him up and foster til owners found***. Thank you all for offering!!! AZCCR needs help to help...There is a stray found at 69th Street and Camelback Rd. He is scared. We are in need of someone in that area who is dog savvy who would be willing to pick him up (carefully handling) and crate at home for today, tonight and possibly tomorrow while we look for owners. Most likely got out and owners are at work and have no idea he is missing. Please PM us if you are able to do this for us. If it was your baby, wouldn't you want someone to look after them for you? Hate taking him out of the area if we are looking at a few hours until someone gets home from work. If you recognize him, please let us know as well. All help in getting him home is appreciated!!! Thank you!!
Want to add, if owners not found we will be looking for a foster home while he is being vetted, please apply to be approved. We are in need of Foster homes !

Again I want to say how much I appreciate everybody out there. Last litter of corgis and frenchtons have moved into their forever homes. Baby Jesus and Miss Canada are still in the building until their mommies can pick them up. Each litter through the years always shows different challenges. I Love being able to see them grow in your homes and become part of your families

I have a corgi breeder and good friend that will be downsizing her program, I’ll post contact information, if anyone is interested comment on this post so I can remember to get back to you
