Join us at our St. Pittie's Day celebration March 17 & 18 to highlight what loving companions Pit Bulls can make when given the right training, care and environment. We hope to spread awareness about the Bully breeds, find homes for DAS’ current adoptable dogs and offer free services for existing restricted breed owners to comply with Denver laws.

☘️DAS will be offering special gifts for the lucky people who adopt Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes:
• Half price adoption fee
• FREE martingale collar and front-clip harness and dog toys for your new family member

☘️FREE Restricted Breed Evaluations and Permits for Denver resident restricted breeds: American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Note: to take advantage of the free evaluation and permit you must meet these other requirements in advance: Proof of a current rabies vaccine, spay or neuter and a microchip. ☘️Saturday, March 18th: FREE Pittie Portraits
Noon – 3 p.m.
FREE professional pet portraits for all Denver owners of Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes by a professional photographer (limit 2 dogs per family).

Good Evening, Friends,

Recently, MaxFund No-Kill Animal Shelter and Adoption Center shared news of a large intake of about 40 Chihuahua/Poodle mixes urgently in need of rescue.

Through no fault of their own, having been let down by their humans, these sweet pups suddenly faced euthanasia, even though they were healthy.

Thankfully, MaxFund stepped up to give these pups a second lease on life, but they need help raising funds for spaying and neutering services, as well as foster care and placement in their new forever homes.
