National Cat Day was created in 2005 to raise awareness for cats in shelters in search of loving homes. This holiday is also observed in Canada, Italy, Japan, Russia, Sweden and the UK on various dates throughout the year, but here it’s Oct. 29!

What are some ways you keep your pet fam calm during the fireworks?

- Find a quiet spot in your home away from the sound of fireworks
- Play calming music (white noise, classical music, etc)
- Medications/calming treats (consult with vet for allergies)
