y, our fur baby! His important stature is seen in his beautiful portrait (see store profile picture). He is now Lord Gary, a unique furry gentleman, in keeping with how he probably sees himself as lord of the manner and head of the household. Because I think that shelters, rescue groups, and the humane society are so important in not only saving animals but in giving so many of us our very own fur babies, I also a portion of the proceeds from this project to go to them and help them keep doing their wonderful work. Since 2017, I have been creating pet portraits for my clients. From experience, I know first hand how meaningful our pet’s personality is to our families. Thus I listen and commit to making a single round of feedback changes to each custom-made pet portrait. A custom-made portrait from Portrait Your Pet provides you a solo working artist (me). I focus on the realism infusing your pet and the attire of your choice into a whole work of art. I do not cut and paste a head to a body and call it perfect. Portrait Your Pet is made with love & care as one can undoubtedly see throughout social media and my client's testimonials. Included with your purchase is an archival museum grade canvas and as a bonus a downloadable high-resolution file for you to print at home as many times as you wish. My canvas prints are professionally crafted with hanging hooks installed, carefully packed, and always shipped for free.

How did this whimsical idea come to be that so many have copied over the past years? It all started as a gift for my wife back in 2017. Gary, our rescue cat, plopped down, settled in on a bag of unpacked groceries began it all. I imagined how Gary saw himself sitting there that day, and Lord Gary of House Gaunce was created. The gift was a hit - my wife and many others loved it so much that Portrait Your Pet was born. I know from my own experience how much we love our pets and how we love to celebrate and memorialize them! I also know how vital shelters and animal care organizations are—we wouldn’t have Gary without them.
