The final member of our logo band is Jethro. This serious boy who had never touched grass for most of his life became the pup who was always the last one in from the yard. He was the beloved “woobie” of many a frightened dog who came to live at Camp Waldo after terrible experiences – a favorite “uncle” who instilled confidence and calm.

Jethro passed away in June of 2024 and is dearly missed.

The frontwoman of our Waldo’s logo is Cindy Lou, a little ball of fluff and s***k who put up a big fight for life thanks to an amazing foster and very generous donors.
Today she’s living her best life with mom, Pam, human brothers Nico and Kyan and K9 siblings Marsh, Edison and Sharma.

Sweet Fiona was so thankful to be rescued. She became inseparable from her mom, Kathy, a charter founder and current president of Waldo’s Muttley Crew.

Her memory lives on in this logo and all the posts to this page over the years.

WATER!!! The Big Dig was a huge success!
Today was the last day of bringing in water by hand! We cannot thank you enough for all of your support during this latest challenge. With over 100 shares on Facebook and all of your donations, YOU made this happen. YOU ARE AMAZING! ♥️

Here’s what happened. Yesterday, our friends from C&J Well Company came out to drill and found a water source on the first attempt. Today, they came out to install the well and pump. By the end of the day, we were back in business. The C&J team was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They went above and beyond our expectations. They are professional, friendly, hard-working, and most importantly, animal lovers. 🐾

What can we say about our namesake? Despite a lifetime of neglect, Waldo quickly learned the joy of running free at top speed, the thrill of fetching a toy and playing tug-of-war, and the pleasure of belly rubs.

The memory of his exuberant personality and love of life has been the guiding star of our mission.
