Sneak peak from our DMWYD workshop today. I believe 11 titles were earned, possibly 12. Gus was not feeling like dealing with the paparazzi after blazing through all his Masters titles. But Simba and LaLa demanded photos. They both earned their first Fitness titles and their Novice Masters as well as Intermediate. I’ll post more later, Alfie and I are tired! Congrats to all teams on their great work! I love seeing happy people and dogs enjoying time together! Thanks to all of you for coming! Susan Havard, Rebecca J Trippi and Melinda Kilcrease.

Rabies/parvo/distemper/bordatella required.

Details: Cost of titles is NOT included. We will work on the following titles: Teacher’s Pet, any Master’s title, and Animal Actor. If you have a specific title you want to earn, let me know ahead of time. Bring snacks, comfy mat for your dog, and your dog’s favorite treats. See ya soon!

Dogs are, in some ways, perpetual toddlers. We raise them, train them, watch over them…and they can be in danger in the blink of an eye. Did you know that pet suffocation (dogs and cats) with chip bags, cereal bags, plastic packaging of any kind, occurs regularly? Like most accidents, it may be avoidable IF we are aware of it. When a dog or cat sticks their head in a bag for a tasty prize, their breathing causes the bag to tighten around their neck. The animal is then unable to get the bag off their head and they will suffocate. Please keep plastic bags, snack bags, chip bags, and pet food bags secured and out of reach. Shred the bags before disposal. Keep kitchen trash secured. The most well-trained dog (or kitty) in the world, may chose to sneak a treat when you are gone or napping or in another room. The 2024 Doglympics is in the books! Six teams earned approximately 40 titles. Hoops, Balls, Balance Beam, Fetch, Torch Relay, Pentathlon, the Doglympics title and two Novice trick titles. Some very tired doggies posed for their medal ceremonies! Thank you to everyone who came, played, and enjoyed their dogs!

Doglympics Workshop participants!

Please text me proof of one of the following relay walks. Your choice! Alfie and I did 1500 meters. This is part of the requirements for Torch Relay. You can absolutely submit this after the workshop if you prefer to do your walk/run next week. There is an additional requirement for this title that we will do at the workshop.

To earn the “Torch Relay” title, run/walk your choice of any of these olympic distances with your dog. The distance will be printed on your certificate. Show proof to a Canine Conditioning Fitness Coach (CCFC)

400 meters (equal to .25 miles / .4k / 1 lap around a track)
800 meters (equal to .5 miles / .8k / 2 laps around a track)
1,500 meters (equal to 1 mile / 1.5k / 4 laps around a track)
5,000 meters (equal to 3.1 miles / 5k / 12.5 laps around a track)
10,000 meters (equal to 6.2 miles / 10k / 25 laps around a track)

Doglympics!!! Saturday 7/27 at Fetch 'n Fun LLC in Robertsdale. Starts at 9:00 am til we finish the Pentathlon! Cost: $35 (does not include cost of titles). We will work through the titles together similar to how DMWYD in person workshops are done. Preregistration is required. Stay tuned to see Alfie’s 4th title in the series!
