Delighted with this cracker of a 4yo, Leuitenant Logie. Literally only been with me 5 weeks and he bags himself a 6th place in a busy novice hunter at this morning! Very excited for his future 🤩❤️

Broom Jubilee 2nd place 2yo Clydesdale filly Royal Highland Show 2024 🦄💙
Imagine you’re assigned a partner project in school. Only one of you gets to read the directions for the assignment, and then you have to explain it to your partner in a language that is secondary to both of you. You’d expect some miscommunications and misunderstandings, right?
That’s basically what’s happening while riding a horse. Whether in a lesson or a ride of your own direction, you as the rider are the only one who knows the assignment. It’s then your responsibility to relay that information to your horse, speaking through intention and cues that are a second language to both you and your horse. Your horse doesn’t understand what your trainer is saying he’s supposed to do - he’s relying on you to tell him.
Keep this in mind any time you’re riding and you feel like your horse isn’t listening, or you get frustrated with a missed distance or a sloppy transition. Remember that you’re the only member of this team who knows the assignment, and your horse is relying on you to tell him the game plan. Sometimes we make mistakes in our cues or our timing, we start thinking too many steps ahead or we forget to clue him into the next movement in time. Sometimes the horse is a little distracted, or tired, or not feeling it today. But most of the time, he’s doing his best he can with the information you’re giving him!
Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!

FOR LOAN ONLY
13.2 SCHOOLMISTRESS CONNEMARA PONY
My old jumping pony, is back up for loan as her current loan situation is changing.
She is in her late 20s so will suit as a confidence giver, although in her hay day she was a top competition pony, she would be best suited to light work due to her age. She will happily hack out, ride in arena and do a little bit of jumping. She is an incredible pony that still has lots of knowledge to give someone
Ideally to stay at the current yard
PM me for more info
Getting to that time of year 😆
FOR LOAN

A week ago today I waved goodbye to my wonderful best friend, Gibsy, who is off to his new home in the US 🇺🇸
It has been an absolute pleasure to have ridden and produced him since getting him as a 3yo c**t back in 2014 - we have certainly made some wonderful memories together that I will cherish forever!
Gibsy would turn his hoof and try his hardest at literally anything I asked of him. From showjumping, workers and eventing to even stepping up to being the most mannerly hunt horse I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching hounds from.
However as with anything, all good things come to an end and it is now time for him to make someone else smile as much as he made me. I wish him and his new owner all the very best in their future together 🦄
Here are a handful of some of my favourite pictures taken over the years; from the first time he was sat on to the last photo I have of him ❤️
Here is Daley’s working hunter round at RIHS ❤️
Home safe and sound from a fantastic trip to the RIHS at Hickstead with Daley 💕 she competed in some showjumping classes, picking up a 2nd and a 3rd in classes with over 100 entires! She also jumped her first foxhunter which was a positive step up.
Yesterday we competed in the working hunter final and sadly had a fence down despite jumping a fantastic smooth round.
I couldn’t be happier with the performance this mare is putting in, she really is a dream mare ❤️
Home from the . Daley jumped a super round but unfortunately touched the plank and had it down. The ticket chase continues!
