Dog found in the Town of Lebanon on Smith RD.
Male, red and white coonhound mix. He is a little timid but otherwise friendly and okay.
Please if you have any information get a hold of us so we can get him home asap!

✨Owner has been found! Currently working on getting him home!✨
‼️LOST DOG FOUND‼️

Male Black/White Husky found in the Town of Eaton last night around 8:45 pm near Rt 26 and Cole RD. He is super friendly and came to us wearing a bandana and two collars (one orange and one blue) neither have any tags or information. Please if you know anything about where this dog is from let us know! Help us get this sweet boy home!

The best dog ever and yet he still has no interest 😔💔
My heart truly breaks for Titanium every day that he is here. It is no secret to you all that Titanium here is my favorite dog ❤️ I love all of our shelter pets but Titanium takes the cake for me and everyday I am more and more shocked and heartbroken to see that he has no adoption applications, no meet and greets, no interest whatsoever 😭 Titanium had a very hard life, he was abandoned with 4 other pure bred heelers (most of which have found their forever homes, or gone to foster) he was terrified coming to us, he didn't know if we were planning to hurt him, or worse, his pack. Titanium was quick to show us all that even though he was scared, he was brave enough to protect his family. They were all filthy, covered in bugs, and unfortunately one of them was skin and bone. They all warmed up quickly, and once he saw we weren't a threat to his family, so did Titan. This sweet boy was quick to show us just how intelligent and gentle he is ❤️ he takes to training well, always eager to please, loves to go out for walks, or even runs! He loved his pack but is a bit more selective when it comes to other dogs. We don't know how he is with cats as we have no way to safely test here. Unfortunately Titan cannot be in a home with smaller kids, older kids and or an adult home would be preferred. Titan is now one of the last waiting for his forever home and after having been here for a whopping 56 days he is starting to get stir crazy. I mean he is a pure bred heeler, a working breed, sitting in a kennel for the majority of the day. I would start to get worked up too. It would make all of our hearts whole to see this sweet boy find his forever home ❤️ so please if you are looking or know someone who is, reach out, call, put in an application or even come in while we are open! Don't let him wait any longer..

Both very young. Friendly but very scared!

If I tilt my head just right, and put on my best puppy eyes will you take me home? 🥺❤️
Everyone meet one of our sweetest shelter pups to ever exist, Bugsy!!! Bugsy is a medium sized mixed breed, we don't know exactly what he is other than a little bug eyed cuddle bug! Bugsy came to us as a stray and unfortunately was never redeemed 😞 when he first came to us he was terrified, shaking in a little ball in his kennel, but luckily over time he came to realize he was safe and going to be well cared for. Now he is attached to all the staff's hips! We believe in a home once given the time he would become someone's shadow! Unfortunately you also don't have a say in it, he is and forever will be a lap dog 🤣 luckily he isn't too big so he won't squish you or anything! Bugsy definitely warms up quicker to women than to men but still given a bit of time he will warm up to men as well! He does like other dogs but prefers more calm laid back dogs over super hyper ones! Cats he also seems to do fine with, if one hisses at him he will be running in the opposite direction as he is a lover not a fighter 🤣 interested in meeting this sweet little guy and giving him a loving home? Put in an application or come in to visit him when we are open! Don't miss out!

There are lots of big projects going on here at the shelter and one of those projects was our Cat Room 2 getting a whole remodel!!!
It is now finished and who better to unveil our room then our singing bunch of kittens lovingly known as the penguin group!!!

PAWS & PUMPKINS PHOTOSHOOT
Ever wanted to get your dog and maybe yourself some professional photos done?
Well now is your chance! Sunday October 12th from 3pm-5pm Wanderers Rest will be teaming up with Schmitt's Farm and ShelterUp Photography (the one who takes all of our pups' lovely photos!) to host a festive fall themed photoshoot!
Down below are 3 recent examples of the quality of photo's you will be receiving! All photo's will be digital so once you get there put down your cell number and email so that all your photos ordered can be delivered right to you after editing! A portion of the proceeds made will be going back to the shelter to help out all the shelter pets!
Not only will you be able to get some photos taken but NBT bank is generously making up a raffle basket that one of you could win!!! You heard me right! This event will be held right at Schmitt's Farm which is located at 6925 S Court Street, Canastota, NY, 13032! This local farm has been around for quite some time now so while you're waiting to get a photo taken, or even after, be sure to check out what they got and take home some nice locally grown produce, or decor for fall!

🐾Running at full speed right to his forever home! 🐾

Well I mean that's the goal, but unfortunately Vintique aka Vinnie here hasn't found that home yet 😔 many people pass him over due to how he looks, a big bully mix with stained fur that's still kind of thin. We can assure you though this big guy is a sweet heart! Vinnie is a 5 year old Bulldog mix who came to us as a stray from Utica. This poor guy had a very rough go of it, I mean when he was found by Utica Dog Control he was very malnourished and extremely dirty, so dirty in fact that now after a few baths his white fur is a little stained 😔❤️ he has put on weight and still is steadily but he is still a little on the thinner side, Vinnie just needs his own furever home where he can be given the proper care he was deprived of before coming to the shelter. He seems to like other dogs, he is good with people, cats we unfortunately don't know about as we have no safe way to test here. Will you be the one who changes Vinnie's life for the better? Put in an application or come in to visit!
