‼️LOST DOG FOUND‼️
This little guy was found in the Town of Eaton last night at around 8 pm on Rt. 20 in Bouckville. He had been spotted running for a few days. He was found with the blue harness on. Please if you know any information about an owner contact us to help this little guy get home!
‼️ Dog MUST be up to date on rabies and licensed in order to redeem‼️

Yesterday was September 1st, you know what that means! Our August adoptions are officially wrapped up! Drum roll please!!!! We have officially adopted out 34 cats and 14 dogs!! We are so happy to see so many animals make it out of the shelter this month! Congratulations to all the families this month and all the lucky pets! Please if you adopted one of the pets below post an update in the comments!!! Congratulations everyone now let's make September even better!!!

The Ultimate Roommate: Gets along with dogs, cats, AND humans. All I need now is a place to call my own!
Everyone meet Mystique, you might remember her from yesterday's post about the event at The Haven at Skanda, this sweet girl got to attend but unfortunately, she didn't have anyone interested 😞so we thought, why not give her, her own post and hopefully find her a home today!!
This girl is genuinely the best, she loves other dogs, she loves cats, she loves everyone she meets, and she especially loves children! She met so many kids at the event yesterday and was happy to soak up all the love she could from them! Mystique here is only a year old! So, she has a lot of life and love left in her to give! Shes extremely smart and takes to training very well! She does great on a leash but sometimes she pulls a bit when Shes excited, nothing a little training can't fix!
We feel so bad that she didn't find a home yesterday so we are hoping maybe today we might find her furever home! It's a gorgeous day out, come out to the shelter to meet her! We are open until 3 pm today! Again, she would do great in almost any household as she loves everything with a heartbeat! We do believe her to be a Shepherd/Lab/Husky mix! Don't let those breeds fool you, she has energy, but she is not off the walls crazy! Shes the perfect girl who deserves the perfect home! Interested come on in today! Put in an application! Call! We hope to see you soon!
If you do come in to meet her today and you have another dog at home bring them in so that she can meet them as well!

‼️LOST DOG FOUND‼️
This sweet girl was found and picked up in Oneida yesterday around 4:30 pm August 30th. She was found on Lenox Ave! She is a little skittish being in the kennel setting but she's a super sweet girl. Please if you know of an owner or anything about her please contact the shelter!

We've kept a secret for a week now and oh boy it's been hard!!!
But today is the official adoption day so we would like to let you all know.. our longest resident Phoenix has officially been adopted after a week in foster to adopt with her new girl gang!!! A family of all girls and no other pets saw Phoenix and fell in love! Our eyes are filled with tears seeing her come in today having already gained more weight back and showing off her biggest smile! She is so happy now! It was hard seeing her go everyday in these kennels, stressed out, and full of anxiety. Now she never has to worry about that ever again! She is spoiled rotten now, happy in a home with her new furever family ❤️ we are so happy for you sweet girl! Congratulations to your family, they gained an amazing dog ❤️❤️ Everybody please wish Phoenix a happy gotcha day!

You all know how it is! We are constantly in need here at the shelter! Time and time again you all amaze us with your generosity and constant support! So yet again we are asking you, our community, for help!
Every little bit you donate doesn't just help us, but it helps the shelter pets as well!
Some of these things help them find new homes, some help keep them sane while here, some help fill their bellies, and others help keep their environment clean and smellin' good!
Down below in the photo is a list of some of the things we are really in desperate need of now! So, if you're feeling generous and want to help us out yet again! Please consider donating some of the following!

‼️STOP SCROLLING‼️
Look at me, all eyes right here, NOW!
Sorry to sound demanding but this is serious to us. How is it that in the Heeler group we got every dog EXCEPT for Titanium has gotten a meet and greet, and or an application!?
No like seriously how has this cute boy been looked over so much that he has been here for a whole month and hasn't even had a single meet and greet, no phone calls, or even an adoption application!
All of the other heelers he came in with have had interest to the point it's just him and Sunshine left. If you haven't heard, this sweet boy was found abandoned with 4 other heelers, one of which went into foster as he came emaciated. Titan here was scared when he came in, I mean they all were but him especially, it didn't take him very long though before he realized he was finally safe. Since then he has become the ultimate lap dog!!! He loves cuddles, butt scratches, and to go for long walks. Honestly for probably never being walked on a leash before in his 4 years of living he walks pretty well on a leash! He does pull a bit but that's to be expected. He is very smart so he would more than likely come around to training quickly!
Now he is super sweet but we do wanna let you all know, Australian Cattle Dogs, Heelers, are not for the faint of heart! These guys have been very mild in terms of what most cattle dogs are like but they are still cattle dogs so we would like if you are interested for you to research the breed first just to make sure!
Two of our Heelers have already found their furever homes both on farms! But now it's just being Sunshine and Titanium available we are really hoping to finally help this sweet boy get some interest!!! So interested in this big man? Put in an application! Or even come in to visit!

Calling all volunteers! Wanderers’ Rest is currently taking applications for everyone who would like to volunteer at the shelter. Go to our website and fill out the volunteer application online or come to the shelter and fill one out in person. The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to set up an orientation. Young or old come learn about the amazing volunteering opportunities we have!

How is this sweet boy still there 😭 our friends at Lewis County have been taking care of Buddy for 3 whole years and honestly we are genuinely confused on how he could be there for that long!!! Buddy usually attends Diamond In The Ruff training classes with some of our dogs and let me tell you! He is as smart as a whip!!! We want to help him find his home so please if anyone is interested or know someone who might be go check him out on Lewis County's page and put in an application!!!
