This morning the farm is a much smaller place. A huge personality is gone forever. If you have been here, and know me, then you also know my most precious furry friend, Zorro. He took a bad fall yesterday resulting in internal injuries. He crossed the rainbow bridge early last evening. When you think your heart can’t be broken any worse, you’re proven wrong. He will be forever in my heart. 🌈

Please help find Jack a new home. He is such a sweet boy

I’m amazed that Jack is still with me after 24 hours. I have a hard time believing he hasn’t got dozens of folks lined up to give him a forever home. He was his dad’s companion the entire time he was fighting cancer. Right up until his last breath. I haven’t noticed any bad habits yet and have socialized him with adults and children and every animal on the farm. This beautiful little man is Jack. He’s a six year old Jack Russell. His dad just died of cancer and he’s in desperate need of a soft landing in a new forever home. I’ve socialized him overnight with our five feral acres dogs and he has done well with them. He loves sleeping in your bed and riding anywhere you will take him. He would fit in just about any home with plenty of love to spare. Please reach out to me if you can help 💕

If you live in the area of Depauville , and are missing an absolutely beautiful golden pup, he is safe and sound at Farrel acres with our five dogs. He is very friendly and has an American flag color but no tag. He was at the Amish farm on County Route 54 trying to play with the Amish dogs, but there was a language barrier lol. Please reach out and contact me at Farrell acres to retrieve your dog. No harm has come to her and she’s safe and sound.

Once in a while, a simple act of human kindness catches you by such surprise, just for a brief moment, you remember that good is still out there, waiting to show up unexpectedly 💕 these two young ladies, Austyn and Amelia, opted out of birthday presents this year, and instead had guests bring pet food and donations of nearly $200. It truly does take a village 😇

A big feral acres welcome to our newest resident, Optimus. He chose his own name, by his behavior. He walked around every nook and cranny of the farm like he was taking muster, and clearly in charge.

I can’t thank you enough for your generous outpouring of support yesterday. Peppa and Mr. Bean have a wonderful UV sun shade heading their way. We also have four others coming as well. Our goal is to have one hanging on every corner of our paddocks so that all our furry friends can have a ready source of shade over this long hot summer. We are 8 shy of that goal thanks to you 💕🐗
