You’re free my sweet baby girl ❤️‍🩹
I have never known love like I’ve loved you. You were my first pig and you completely changed my life. When I looked at you it felt like we could actually communicate and understand each other. There was a bond there that was immeasurable and unbreakable.

I always said how much of a mess I would be when the time came that you’d pass. I am glad to be in a place where I feel (relatively) stable knowing you’re now gone. The pain and agony is of course still there, but I’m actually okay. I learned a lot from you and your resiliency. Even tonight, when your time was over and after the doctor injected the medicine in your heart, your heartbeat was still there after it shouldve stopped. You were still fighting. Now you get to see your sisters and freaky brother again.

I’m extremely thankful I was able to hold you the entire time. This was the first vet that allowed me to be in the room during euthanasia and that was extremely remarkable and special for me.

Pigster, I’m gonna miss when you would run across the cage to greet me when I entered the room and always asked for your chin scratches. God I loved it when you waddled over to me so much. When every other pig would run away, you would stay right where you were and let me smother you in kisses and chin scratches. You are my best friend. My soulmate. Till I see you again some day, popcorn like crazy up there 💕 (and don’t let Sebby sit on you like he used to) ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

My sweet baby girl most likely has cancer 🥺 I posted this morning how she went to the vet for weight loss and a very rancid smell (UTI/cancer smell). She’s begun peeing blood and they think the cancer is in her uterus. In addition to her pain med and anti inflammatory, she was given antibiotics. and then we’ll have to assess if I want to do a full work up or just provide palliative care. Because she’s 8, I’m leaning toward palliative care and making her comfortable for the next few weeks until I have to do the inevitable.
I’m very thankful I’m in a much better headspace in my life because if this was even 1 year ago, I would be having a full mental breakdown but I’m surprisingly okay. For now at least. I know she has lived such a full long life but I’m going to be devastated not having her around. If anyone has any magical advice that can save her please comment lol 💕

Pigster’s being dropped off at the vet this morning. She’s lost a little weight and her poops/gas are still really smelly like fish. I think she definitely has some kind of infection. Please keep her in your thoughts 💕💕
