It’s motivation Monday!
Our boy Sam is motivated to please - even at a distance. He and his Ridgeside K9 Central MD trainers have been working on recall, no matter where or how far. How do you think he’s doing? Does he motivate you to learn a new trick?

What does the perfect adoption look like? In our view, it's when the human needs the dog as much as the dog needs the human. That's exactly what Travis and Sylvester feel for each other.
After losing his three fur-babies in a divorce, Travis has been without a canine companion for over a year. He knew he wanted another dog to match his active and outgoing lifestyle, and has been searching for him.
In Jan of 2023, Sylvester and two other dogs were pulled out of an underserved shelter in WV and became Tara's House dogs. Dickens (a young and beautiful dog) found his home not long after, but a year passed before Carl (a big Rottie) was finally adopted - after two previous short-lived attempts. That left only Sylvester, a spectacular young dog who thrives on movement and learning. Despite his handsome looks, he has been waiting patiently for his turn of a furever home while moving in-and-out of boarding and several foster homes.
Travis told Sylvester's last foster mom, "I had been looking at dogs for months and he just "spoke to me" like all of my other rescues. Something in his face. He's the only dog I applied for." When told how Sylvester is the last of the 3 dogs from the same shelter to be adopted he replied, "I'm going to choose to believe that he was waiting for me."
Well Travis and Sylvester met yesterday, as Sylvester "graduated" from Ridgeside K9 Central MD’s three week board and train program. (Watch the video in the comments to see how the pair handled what could have been a difficult situation prior to going to Ridgeside.) Their connection was immediate, and today Sylvester went home with Travis.
We all hope you live happily ever after, Travis and Sylvester! 💕
