Welcome to Fortfield ferretry

Welcome to Fortified Ferretry, I am a small hobby breeder based in Bristol, UK and have been breeding ferrets since 2015.

I have always been mesmerised by ferrets since I was little and my love for them progressed from there. My dad owned 3 ferrets, Sminky- sandy Hob, Darling- Albino Jill and Her sister Sweetpea- Sable jill and I just loved to play with them. After they sadly passed away I was determined to have ferrets of my own, that's when I got Sandy and Bubbles- 2 sandy jills and a sable hob named Lightning. I had my first litter of kits from Sandy and Lightning in 2015. It was a litter of 3 which is where my line of ferrets began. Ever since then I have made it my goal to breed lovely tempered and healthy ferrets.

Before getting a ferret, there are a lot of things to put into consideration. Ferrets can become very expensive with cost of food, housing, enrichment and vets bills. Ferrets are NOT just a one time pet, they can live from 5-10 years so you must be committed to cater for their needs. You must consider all of this before deciding on owning one yourself.

If you feel you are ready to own a ferret or have any questions please feel free to message or email me, I will happily help!
