We breed Toy and Mini Aussies for performance sports. We do not dock tails. It all began in 1996 or 1997. There I met my first Mini Aussie. We breed very rarely.

Monty, my Border Collie and I were competing in an agility fun match in the Beauce, QC (near Montreal). It was a toy sized red merle and I knew someday I would share my life with a dog just like that! In 2003 & 2004 the Mini Aussie mixes joined my family. But I was still waiting for my Mini Aussie. I was looking for a small dog that was outgoing and ball crazy. I wanted a hiking buddy, a dog that

would adore my children and a dog that loved flyball & agility. In 2011 my friend Sue was looking for an owner for one of her Mini Aussies. I liked her dog so much I had to have her so one year old Yoshi joined our family. No Clownin Around Miniature Australian Shepherds is named after my first Mini Aussie mix "No Clownin Around" also known as Circus. Our goal is to produce animated, intelligent, very active, outgoing, happy dogs with high toy drive for flyball, agility and companionship. Our preferred size is 13-14 inches however, size is never guaranteed. To help ensure that you get a healthy puppy we will only breed health tested parents. We do not have a kennel- puppies are raised and loved in our home by our family. Most of our puppies are sold to dogsport homes (agility and flyball). Our puppies not a good fit for people that are looking for just a walking partner. Our puppies are extremely smart & active and need a lot of mental stimulation and physical activity. For two very important reasons we do not dock tails. Long tails help dogs communicate with each other. Also, long tails help improve balance and is especially important for dogs that do agility and flyball- tails help improve their performance! Dew claws are also functional so they are not removed. Our next litter is tentatively planned for 2019.

It’s official!! Shoobie is a flyball dog!! Here’s one of her runs from her first tournament!!

Happy New Year from No Clownin Around!! Our girls celebrated at flyball practice! Here’s Shoobie making progress with her flyball training. She also did some head to head racing with another dog. I’m really looking forward to her racing debut in 2018!!

It was a busy weekend of flyball for the No Clownin Around girls. Yoshi raced on an open team with Game On! Flyball. Her team earned over 575 points and third place! Stunt raced on DogZworth's regular team. She earned more than 725 points and first place!! She also earned her FM title. Stunt was expertly handled by 9 year old Levi. It was his first time handling a dog and he did so well!! Puppet warmed up and she practiced on Saturday night. We're so excited to debut her- hopefully in July she'll earn her first flyball title. I videoed a couple of Stunt's runs and one of Puppet's runs.
