A Great Day Yesterday!

Winston and Luna were adopted into the same home. Although not bonded, they were buddies so we are happy that their playtime antics can continue.

We are always thankful for our Adopters and the great homes they provide but most importantly we can not thank our fosters enough! Another wonderful job Lynette Lauer! You help so many dogs forget their sad past❤️

Carson never had anything. No one who cared for or about him.

A caring individual offered to foster so we were able to pull him from the euthanasia list with only a few hours to spare.

His foster Mom gave him a bed and toys and at first he had no idea what he should do, but he is figuring it out❤️

Please consider fostering. It literally is the difference between life and death for so many dogs.

A couple of weeks ago we pulled two Code Red hounds from the Mecklenburg Va. shelter literally at the last minute because two very determined and devoted fosters stepped up to save their lives.
Whiskey and Carson are their names and we will happily share their journey with you.
Sadly Carson tested positive for everything but of course with your help we will certainly do everything we can for him.
Below is Carson’s sweet face and his skinny body picture can be found in comments.
Good news is he had another veterinarian appointment yesterday and he has gained 7 lbs.
Thank you Animal Wellness Center of Crozet and his amazing foster for taking him to his appointments and opening her heart and home for him. Fostering saves lives❤️

Will you be our Valentine?
Jake and Misty need a home. They are both 4 years old. Jake weighs 30ish pounds and little Misty weighs 10 pounds. Both are completely vetted and it was their Momma’s final wish that they stay together if possible. They are available for adoption and are just the sweetest ❤️

Our handsome boy Alec was adopted this week. He was a stellar fella who became Code Red with 5 other dogs at a shelter where he ended up as a stray. A plea went out and when the dust settled he was the remaining dog without rescue.
We had already pulled one off of that list but could not leave him behind to die. What an amazing treasure he turned out to be. Below is a picture of him on his way to his forever home❤️

Well Mayor McCheese is not too sure about having a bath but he was a very good boy🛁

My Auntie Christi adopted him and gave him the most wonderful home. She has a very big heart and generously donated to my medical in his honor. Now I have a chance at finding a great home when I’m all better.❤️

The Adventures of Quil ~ ❤️

Today Quil went to the Dogtor. What was to be a routine neuter and vaccines turned into something we had not anticipated.
Quil tested positive for Heartworm 😢
X rays showed some damage to his heart but his Dogtor is optimistic with treatment they can help him.
Needless to say, if anyone would like to donate towards his medical bill, we would be most appreciative.
We love this boy and will do whatever we can for him❤️
