🌸 ADA & TEDDY 🧸 completed our 3 session package and are booked in for another 3 rounds! Woohoo, our work continues. So far, we have been tackling reactivity to other dogs when on the lead, recall training when out and about, and barking at home. These two and their pawrents are just brilliant, and their relationships flourish with every session! Here is to more progress 🍻 (doggy beer included).

WAS A HOOT! De was there representing the Pet Professional Guild Australia. PPG Australia is a membership organisation representing pet industry professionals who are committed to science-based, force-free training and pet care - and De is one of them! Head to their website for great information about your pet needs and how to find an ethical dog trainer/professional.
While at the show De did a presentation about Recall, while Jo from did a presentation about Free Work. It all worked so well!

🖤 FRANKIE completed a 3 session training package with us! Frankie and his pawrent did so well, they seriously understood the assignment and did their homework! They understood the assignment so well that we were able to proof the training at a busy location - Wynnum foreshore! With reactive dogs, it's important to build focus and recall.

We cannot get over Archie's training .. it was so much fun!
🫶 ARCHIE, and his wonderful family, completed our 3 week training program. We worked on fear reactivity to dogs, humans and other "world" situations when out on walks. Archie is a social kind of guy, but when restrained he can get a little worried so we learnt to give Archie space, learn his stress cues and advocate for him. Archie very quickly knew who to trust, his fur-mily, and he looked up to them lovingly and this bond built Archie's confidence up very quickly. Archie has a younger kid at home which keeps him on his toes, so this has been a great confidence boost for Archie. Archie is a great lil guy, and I'm sure we will see him around, in the meantime we wish them all luck and we are always here to supPawt! 🫶 HAMISH, and and his great pawrents, helped him achieve going up and down the internal stairs. Hamish had a slip and slide event on the internal stairs and since then refused to go up and down them, sometimes up was possible but not always. We used a mixture of "counting game" and worked on desensitising and conditioning "stairs" that were not the internal ones (e.g. public stairs, as he was ok with them since they were not scary), and then over time tried it on the internal ones in which he RAN UP AND DOWN THEM. We could not be more impressed with this boy, and now he doesn't have to be carried up and down the stairs, win win 🙌🏾
