There are many different species of Iguana in the world. However, only one is native to the United States. The Desert Iguana! Found throughout the Southwest United States, and Northern Mexico. With only reaching lengths, tip of nose to tip of tail, of up to roughly 16 inches, Desert Iguana are one of the smallest species of Iguana on the planet! 💚🦎💚😎🤙

We have been doing a lot of rescue and education stuff lately, and it has definitely kept us busy! We are NOT producing animals this year. NDS is taking a new direction with, a focus on rescue, education, and conservation. We are also currently rebuilding our breeding program, with a focus on conservation efforts. This means two things:

1. NDS will no longer be a regular producer of common animals in the trade. Although, we do still have a limited selection of adult BP and Leo's available currently. When these animals find new homes, we are pulling the plug on breeding common animals. This includes: Ball Python, Leopard Geckos, Boa Constrictor, Bearded Dragon, and others.

2. We WILL be breeding again, but with a focus on conservation. We want to focus on the specialized breeding of, and in turn, create a supply of captive specimens for animals heavily impacted by poaching, and the wild caught import/export trade. Giving people an ethical, captive bred and born alternative to wild caught or poached animals. Some of these future projects may also be incorporated for species heavily impacted by habitat loss as well.

So, as always, thank you to each and every one of you who follow us and support us along the way. Stay tuned for some exciting new faces to start popping up in the future as we get some of these breeding programs underway. You can expect to see Solomon Island Ground Boa, Dumerils Boa, and many more we will reveal at later dates! Thank you all again for the continued support. I hope you all have a wonderful day!
