A group of qualified, experienced and accredited Dog Trainers and Canine Behaviour Counsellors based in Northampton, Daventry and Towcester who are committed to only using techniques free from intimidation, fear and pain. We are all committed to only using methods that will not harm or distress your dog when either training him or her, or seeking to correct problem behaviour. We have all undergone
independent assessment to verify we have both the theoretical and practical expertise to deliver the services we offer and we all adhere to the codes of conduct set by our professional accrediting organisations. With so many Dog Trainers and Behaviourists now offering this type of service, and a lack of regulation to ensure that they are qualified to do so, we have decided to join together to arrange a number of events to guide people in how to choose their canine behaviour professional. We will be visiting family shows, pet shops and garden centres to help advise people on how to identify someone they can trust and who will not use methods that may harm or distress their dog. We will also be providing live and video presentations to show what can be achieved using purely ‘pawsitive’ methods - from teaching your dog some basic manners to how members of our team have trained their dogs for media work and public performances. Come and meet us to have a chat – we would love to see you there. Contact details for the members of the Pawsitive Solutions Roadshow are as below (NB direct links to websites can be found in the early posts). APDT UK members (www.apdt.co.uk)
