We love our performance animals, and so we strive to produce and train quality performance/PR llamas that can also hold their own in a halter class

We did ultrasounds this weekend and 3 of the 4 girls have been confirmed pregnant for Spring 2025 crias!

This is MAL Princess Xerneas's sire and he does not disappoint! We also bred him to Needmor's Call Me Sassy in hopes of another incredible girl. This is the perfect opportunity to step up your program!

Zen is turning out to be one of my favorite crias we've ever had. A personable and willing temperament plus well put together, he's going to be such a good performance gelding one day!

Esmae will be a part of our show string next year and she will surely be a fun and flashy addition

Poster #2 complete! Very similar style to Simba's but I'm hoping to experiment with other methods later on

My newest venture for a couple of the show kids! First up is Simba!

And just like that Esmae has found herself on our keeper list! I guess I lied to myself and everyone else when I said any female crias we got this spring would be for sale. Oops!🤭

Syrah is our only girl due this fall and we are very excited for this cria! If it's anything like Syrah it will be stunning and sweet as can be❤️

Archie is such a fancy fella❤️

MAL Arceus
Coaty's Underdog ARR x JDL Magnolia's Pretty Baby
This handsome fella is available to the right home and will be available to leave once he's weaned Nov 30th, 2024 with a 25% deposit holding him for you. He's going to make someone an awesome show partner! He's upright, square, and flashy with a quirky personality that runs in his lineage. He is out of our favorite dam on the farm who consistently produces strong conformation and amazing personalities. You might recognize the name MAL Shock of Jolteon who is very successfully shown by Londyn Rubek of NE and our own MAL Eevee, a finished halter champion. Well, Archie is Jolt and Eevee's maternal brother and reminds us very much of them both when they were crias in his attitude. Don't miss out on this flashy and spunky guy!

Now that all pictures are sent out I've now gotten to our own. Not only did we have fun with our first venture with Mythical Rayne Llama Photography, we also had a very successful show with the one llama we brought to the Gathering!
CVL Can't Wait to be King
Champion Yearling Silky Male
4th in the Silky Division Championship
We were hoping for middle of the pack knowing Simba would be competing against some of the top males in the country. So, to say we were excited is an understatement! We along with Simba's other owner Aspen Kelchen couldn't be happier!
We would of course like to thank Lisa Robinson and everyone involved with putting on such a big and successful show as well as Ana Reese for judging. What a line-up of animals in every class! It's not a national show for nothing!

Some of the last pictures I ever took of Badger. I think these were taken one or two weeks before he got sick

Nina's sire is available. He's proven and a finished halter champion. There's also a Best in Show winning KVF Timone's Pride x Cassala son to check out!

Those ears😍

Really wish I had a better picture of WLK Zeus as an adult. He was an impressive guy with the tightest long suri locks

Zen is going to be a really fun boy!

Working on visual pedigrees for some of the llamas on the farm. First up: MAL Badger's Anohana

Nina has hit 5 months old and is getting herself ready for her show career! She's off on an adventure and will be back next Sunday
The younger girls were feeling really good tonight! There was too much happening and I was making sure I wasn't gonna get accidentally ran into so my camera work wasn't great😅
Pictures and videos just don't do Simba justice! He has such a strong presence and a curious, spunky personality that meld perfectly! (Don't mind the grumpy weanling in the background. She's spoiled and isn't used to other llamas invading her alfalfa time😂)
This is why we work so hard with our crias as soon after birth as possible. You never know when you will need to handle them in ways you may not usually. Recently that was the case with Morpheus, one of our nonbreeders, after he developed an abscess. It only takes one person to catch and treat him every day and no chute is needed. Of course scrubbing it can be a little painful and the animals in the other stall can be distracting, but this is much less stress for him and us this way. Morph was born here and from the start Brianna worked with him daily on desensitization. This is the result 15 years down the line.
Miss Eevee here is one of our llamas that absolutely has to have different kinds of enrichment scattered around the pens or else she gets into trouble. So, we put some new ones up today and she's hooked on this little hay ball! It's a just a dog treat feeder filled with alfalfa that we tied up and it definitely keeps them busy!
A quick shot of Badger before he was full body sheared. We miss him being so fluffy but he's definitely feeling good, especially in the heat that we've been having! Video by Iowa PBS
Eevee's antics for today. She LOVES Gatorade and enjoyed a small treat of it today. Of course, I didn't have my phone with me when she picked up the sprinkler hose and dragged it around the pasture
It's been interesting to see the differences between our two moms right now. New mom, Hannah, doesn't want Tails more than ten feet away from her at all times while experienced mom Tommi doesn't have a care in the world as long as she's with the herd. Tommi was up at the barn eating alfalfa while Hannah chased the crias all around😂
