5 scroungy little kittens found wandering around in an abandoned apartment building...
Went out for the third night to trap adult cats, setting traps in this building, and found them just wandering around. Thank you to the Las Vegas Valley Humane Society for taking these little angels💛💚🩷💜💙
So I've sold 8 skateboards, and I'm donating these 8 to a non-profit animal rescue group that also gives toys to children when they visit their animal farm/sanctuary.
Also going to give some away at Christmas time, for Toys For Tots.
Let me know if you can think of any good groups that give toys to children that may want a skateboard or two 🛹😸
Cat stats for July through September...
132 cats and kittens trapped.
Too many details to mention for each cat... lots of good work being done 💚🧡💜
Thank you to everyone involved in rescuing these cats and kittens from the street ❤
So this is not a video of a dangerous rooftop rescue!, or climbing into a storm drain to set traps...
But a simple, shameless video of some cute kittens!
They were scooped up by the maintenance people in an apartment complex, and given to Alix Parker , a wonderful rescue person, for care & fostering. They have gone to adoptions to find a terrific forever homes ❤️💛
Finally, after almost 2 weeks of healing, the wire cat has been released back to its colony and its caretaker. All is well. This cat is healthy and fine 💚❤️💜
Here's an emergency rescue, I almost forgot to post. From a few weeks ago...
Got a call from a couple of ladies that were able to retrieve three kittens from their car engine.
Mom was stuck inside the engine, so I went to the site and was able to crawl under the car and grab Mom by the back legs and pull her out from the engine.
Mom and kittens are all safe. Thank you to Las Vegas Valley Humane Society for helping with this situation ❤️
So I got a call a couple days ago, asking to catch this cat with some type of wire wrapped around his stomach and his tail, he's been this way for over a week, and the wire is ripping into his skin, causing him to bleed.
With help from the caretakers, we were able to catch him in the drop trap this evening.
He's going to the vet in the morning to get the wire removed 💙
So this is a pretty neat video...
I did an interview with Channel 3 News (although they didn't air any of it ☹️), but they posted some cool pictures and did a wonderful story on kitten season 😺
ANOTHER rooftop rescue! (sort of)...😺
Got a call from Las Vegas Valley Humane Society about a junior kitten stuck on a roof for several days. Went up on the roof and set a trap securely with bungees, hoping to catch the kitten.
...but somehow the kitten found its way off the roof and is safely back on the ground 🐈🐾💙
Got a call today, possibly some cats underneath a house, the construction crew boarded-up the exits so the cats can't get out.
Went out and spoke to the construction crew, they were very nice and allowed me to install a one-way door. The cats can come out, but they can't get back in.
we checked through several other openings to make sure there are no kittens, and we feel confident that within a few days, all cats will be out from under the house so they can safely board up the openings.
I will do the final food test in several days, to be completely sure that all cats are out...
A pretty good rescue tonight.. so I was able to slowly and quietly walk up to this cat (with my large net) while his back was turned to me.
To my surprise, he actually turned around and started to walk straight towards me. I was able to put my net over him and transfer him into a carrier.
I'm pretty certain he is mostly blind and partially deaf, and his head and eyes are swollen and full of mucus.
...caretaker is taking him to vet in the morning 💛
A very unusual trapping situation this evening...
We had to climb a ladder and build a makeshift platform, (made with 2 bricks, a cabinet door, and some cardboard for spacers 😋) to set traps to catch a couple of kittens. We've never seen them come down from this underground parking structure. They are kind of up in the ceiling of the parking garage.
We caught 2 of the kittens tonight 😺😺
