Hello everyone! I need to make a post that I hate having to make, but I believe it to be necessary. A couple days ago, I asked for help with a Logo for Peaceful Paws. I have received a TON of recommendations, sample work to look at, messages, texts and calls about it. I appreciate y'all SO much! I have a lot of material to look at and folks to talk to, to see who might be the best fit. 🥰
However, I need to say that I do not appreciate people calling and texting my phone (this time it was a little before 4am) in the middle night while my family is sleeping. I understand people are trying to help, and it IS appreciated because I don't know anything about logo design, buuuuuut I have business hours for a reason. My family time in the evenings is extremely important to me. I'm not just a groomer, but a wife, mother, daughter, keeper of my own little sweet pack of dogs, and various little farm animals. I run errands and keep house and cook meals with my family, just like everyone else. Please show me (and my family) the same respect you would anyone when contacting about your business and what services you offer. I'm hoping to make contact with a few I've already seen the work of, and I plan on continuing to go through what has been sent.

The Peaceful Paws Family would LOVE to wish Lord Scout Parker a VERY VERY happy 3rd birthday! We got to visit with the sweet Lord to give him his birthday beautification spaw day! We picked him up a birthday cake, a squeaky toy that looks like a cupcake and got him some pet friendly ice cream for dessert! Lord Scout, we hope your day had so much sunshine! Here we have Mr. Banjo Woodmansee modeling our Happy Hoodie in purple, size small. 🥰 He's the goodest boy around! Happy Hoodies help with drying anxiety as it lessens the sound of the dryer for babies who get anxious during the drying process. I love this boy and his sisters so much, and always enjoy our visits. ❤️
I've been battling some stomach troubles here lately, and some days I really don't feel well when I wake up. Today was one of those days, but I get up and do my very best! I got to hang out with one of my favorites, Mis Bonnie today, and following their appointment, I got to meet with some new clients who had been referred to me by one of my sweet neighbors 😉. Names are blacked out for privacy matters, but this means the absolute word to me. One of the new clients said to me just before we left, "You are very hard on yourself, because you do a beautiful job!" And I about walked out in tears. Then to receive these kind words this evening, it makes all the times I 2nd guess myself, a little less noticeable. Filling up with the positive at Peaceful Paws Mobile Dog Grooming by Kodi !
Thank you to those who have referred new clients, those who want me to go ahead and schedule them for the rest of the year, the ones who call faithfully for their appointments. Thank you for kind words. There have been people throwing my name out every chance they get, and those that don't ever recommend me. But that's ok! I'm in this because I LOVE these babies! I enjoy working one on one. They and their pet parents become a sort of extended family to me, who has absolutely no family here, other than my mom and husband and our beautiful boys. I'm so thankful for the continued support from Jon Jan and my boys. They're the ones who matter!

Thursday brings one of the scariest days of the year for sensitive pets! I, myself have 3 of my 8 that absolutely despise fireworks or any loud noises. NOW is the time to prepare for their comfort! If you honestly don't believe an OTC medicine will work for your sweet friend, call your vet MONDAY MORNING, and most will provide a prescription for anxious dogs. Tell them you need something for the 4th of July celebrations this week, and be sure to ask to get a few, since we ALL know fireworks don't just go off on the 4th alone.There are several products you can get over the counter from Petco, PetSmart and even Walmart! If you look in the comments I have provided 3 different types of calming treats for dogs that have helped my personal pack. We also buy CBD dog gummies from Zero Gravity, as well as Hempy’s CBD in Decatur! I have also included a super cheap way that you can ensure your furry friend's safe return, should they get lost with all the celebrations going on! Just a collar, tape and a sharpie! I pray every has a safe and fun holiday weekend! I myself, took Thursday and Friday off to spend some much needed fun time with my kiddos and husband! No idea what! Wish we had a boat to go out on! 😂Everyone PLEASE be safe, and do your best to keep all of your digits!

Hello beautiful clients! Please bear with me, as this is a long one. I know that some of you are not on my personal Facebook, so you have no idea what has been going on. On Sunday, while my family was eating Mother's Day lunch with my own mother, my Rottweiler got into something toxic. By the time we arrived back home, he was having neuro toxic symptoms with seizure-like activity. We rushed him to the ER vet, and after treating him with anti-nausea meds and fluids, they sent us home with instructions to contact our regular vet Monday morning. You'll never believe this next part! By the time we got back home with him, my son's 4 month old Bug (Boston Terrier/Pug mix) puppy, Kora, who most of you have heard me talk about, was exhibiting the same symptoms, only much worse! She was actually having back to back seizures. We rushed her to our vet in Pulaski, Tennessee that night. Yesterday early morning, my Rottweiler, Koba, seemed to be feeling better, but by 10am we were rushing him to Tennessee, as well. 😔 Both of our babies have been in veterinary ICU. My son's puppy was hospitalized for two days and got to be released to come home today! 🥰 But my boy was still needing IV medication therapy, so he is still hospitalized. I was given instructions to call first thing in the morning, to see if he will be released to come home tomorrow after another full 24 hours of IV meds. I'm hopeful, we will be reunited tomorrow. This boy is my heart. 🖤 They are our family.
I wanted to tell you all this and extend my sincerest apologies for delayed responses in messages and texts, and to ask you all for a little grace. I will be working diligently over the next couple of days to get anyone who needs to be rescheduled, rescheduled. I will also be doing my very best to get responses out to anyone who is waiting on one. Thank you all for your patience, I truly appreciate it.

In my 11 years of grooming, I have never fully hand scissored a dog. 🤦🏻♀️ I am so proud of this boy! Everyone meet Jello! He was sweet, patient and a lot of fun to work with today! We put our music on, and just enjoyed hanging out today! I'm not gonna lie, he probably got tired of my singing. 😂
Each and every one of you mean more to me than you know! I appreciate all the grace and kindness I've been shown over the last few months, while I've really learned how to navigate owning my own business and figuring it all out. I still have a ways to go, but the kind words, the wagging tails when I visit, and all these precious precious babies have become such an important part of my life!
So, thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

It is not uncommon for dogs to become blind during a solar eclipse. If you leave your dog outside during an eclipse, he or she may look up, confuse the sky for twilight, and stare until the retinas of their eyes are damaged. However, most dogs only look up toward sky if something flies overhead or catches their attention, so if the eclipse in your area is large enough to actually darken the sky, your dog shouldn’t be looking up to figure out what’s going on. It is highly unlikely that your pet would stare directly at the sun, but it is possible that some pets could harm their eyes by looking at the eclipse.
Watch out, y'all!! We have a new dryer AND some of the BEST shampoo, it smells so good! AND! Anyone who knows me know I LOOOOVE pigs, so what better brand of dryer than...The Flying Pig! Two heat settings, two different nozzles and lightweight! Woo! I'm excited to go to work tomorrow!

Hello! Welcome to Peaceful Paws Mobile Dog Grooming! My name is Kodi Lemon, and I am the owner and groomer for Peaceful Paws. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to those of you who do not know me or are new here. I'm Kodi! 👋🏻 I was born and raised in Indiana, and moved to Alabama shortly after I graduated high school in 2004. I met (and married) my husband, best friend and biggest supporter, Jon, in 2005 and we have two beautiful children, Jace and Jaxson. Our family is owned by 9 dogs, 5 cats, 3 pigs and 15 chickens.
I received my grooming certification from PetSmart in 2013, and have been grooming off and on ever since. I started my mobile grooming in 2023 when I hired on as a dog bather, and absolutely fell in love with the mobile aspect of dog grooming. I love being able to help those in need, and mobile grooming is one way I can do that. In my experience, there are so many fur babies who benefit from in home grooming care, and I'm so thankful I am able to do help.
I would like to take a moment to shout from the rooftops a great big THANK YOU to my beautiful clients and their humans for allowing me into their homes and lives and for letting me love on them while I am there! You are all so appreciated.
