Benji JRT x
2yrs (estimate)

Benji is an absolutely gorgeous Jack type. A little bigger than your average JRT. He came to us through the pound system as a stray so we have no background information on him. He's extremely fit and in good health. He is a playful, busy and inquisitive boy. He loves his toys, to chase a ball or play tug. He is good with all people, affectionate and loving and likes to interact and be close. He enjoys cuddles, fuss and a good bum scratch. He would like a home where he is allowed onto the sofa to cuddle up with his people. He has proven to be dog friendly, no aggression at all, he has mixed with dogs of all shapes and sizes happily. He very much enjoys his walks but can pull a little at times. He will need a particularly active home as he has a lot of energy. A home that is outdoorsy and will get him out on some exciting adventures would be perfect. His house training will need a little work. He travels without issue in his crate. He seems to be fine being left for reasonable periods so long as his needs have been met. Benji is an expert jumper/climber. If left home alone he may need to be crated initially to prevent him getting into things he shouldn't. Currently he chooses to sleep on top of his crate rather than inside. He will need a garden with secure 6ft boundaries. Benji would be happy as an only dog or could potentially pending successful meet and greet live with a neutered sociable bitch. He could live with respectful teens. He has not been around younger children at all. Benji has a high prey drive so absolutely no cats or small furries please.

Bracken

Border terrier
8 years old
Needs to be the only dog in the home
No small fluffies
Secure garden
Terrier experience
Kids 10+ considered

Bracken is a tiny little Border girlie seeking an experienced terrier savvy home. Bracken needs to be an only dog, no doggy visitors to her home or need for friend's out of the home. She is NOT reactive and passes other dogs outdoors without issue. Bracken takes a little time to trust and can be wary of new people initially, best to let her come to you in her own. She doesn't like to be picked up against her will/over handled. Once you've gained her trust she is the most gorgeous, loving and sweet companion. She will sit by you and tap you with her paw for belly rubs and fuss. She loves to be on the human bed for cuddles, very much enjoys her home comforts. She's an active girl and very much enjoys her rural walks at present. She loves her toys and is highly skilled at destuffing. She's not at all a noisy dog inside or out of the home. She walks well on a short lead or long line . Recall for small treat's is good. She can get a little stressed in the car but this isn't major and is gradually improving as she associates the car with fun adventures. She'd suit a calm home without a ton of visitors or young kids. Respectful teens considered. She'd love a secure garden to potter and play ball. A home where she is allowed on sofa/beds. An active home to get her out on some lovely walks and adventures. She'd like a home with someone around more often than not. Can be left reasonable periods. Very importantly we need a sensible home that will respect our assessment/requirements of her needing to be an only dog and not introducing her to other dogs up close and personal outdoors either. Bracken is a very sweet adorable little Border. She needs a home that will accept her for who she is and give the the security, love and respect that she deserves.

Could live with another calm dog with slow introductions
No small fluffies
Secure garden
Terrier experience
Kids 10+

Murphy is looking for pet free home, secure garden, kids 10+ considered. Murphy has come to us through no fault of his own. He is a little love bug whose owners circumstances have changed and he is being left for long periods and just not getting the attention he deserves. He's a typical busy active terrier that loves his walks, so an active home is a must. His ideal home would be a fun, loving, active home with lots of time for adventures, training and love to give . Murphy can be reactive on lead (barking) but is coming on leaps and bounds with his training. Happy to share videos to serious applicants. He must be introduced to other dogs carefully and appropriately is all. He travels fine, is in good health, house trained.

could live with a friendly, playfull, confident dog
secure garden
quiet household (not busy or lots of guests etc)
No kids

Willow is a lovely little merle lurcher who arrived into rescue severely underweight, sick, covered in flea, very nervous and without ever being microchipped or vaccinated. Since being in rescue she has been flead, microchipped, vaccinated, put on a good diet and is gaining weight nicely. She has been socialising with the other dogs in her foster home and is gaining confidence and learning how to play. She often gets a crazy burst of energy and likes to do zoomies round the garden. She has no basic training at the moment so is looking for an owner who can dedicate time to her training and socialising. She needs someone who is calm and encouraging who can slowly show her the world and help her gain confidence. Once she does feel safe she is very much a silly, playful and bouncy pup. She would be best with another confident, sociable and playful neutered dog for company and to show her the way.

🐾No young kids (12+)

Delilah came in as a stray from the pound, we have no history for her. She is fit and active. A lovely playful girly who loves to chase and play tug as well as a cuddle on the sofa. Shes can be abit of a cheeky monkey and does need someone who can set the boundaries for her and not let her get away with naughty behaviours no matter how cute she is. She can get a little nippy as any young lurcher does when over excited eg in a game of chase etc, she is working on controlling her impulses and getting progressively better, she wears a muzzle happily this allows her to be able to run and play with her friends without the risk of anyone getting hurt whilst she's still learning. She can be reactive/barky when she sees strange people and dogs when out on walks, this is easily managed and she is progressing well with her training in these situations and full support will be given from the rescue. She is the most active lurcher in the rescue and is always up for an adventure or a play. She has no basic training at the moment so is looking for an owner who can dedicate time to her training and socialising. She is looking for someone active with knowledge of hunting breeds (hound or terrier) who can take her on plenty rural adventures. She does have mild resource guarding towards other dogs when around high value treats and her food, again easily managed by putting her in her crate when eating, she is more than happy to have her chews and food around her people just not other dogs. Given her quirks she is looking specifically for someone with experience of the breed or the issues who can continue to work with her. She is super loving and will shout at you for a cuddle and very clever, picking up tricks and training very quickly

Bella Caucasian
5yrs
Neutered

Bella is a gorgeous character....she adores her people and loves a cuddle and a fuss. She's is generally very chilled out at home and loves to snooze on the sofa getting lots of belly rubs. As a guardian she absolutely will bark and alert her people to any strange sounds or unknown people etc. A semi rural/rural home would be ideal with a large secure garden/land for her to enjoy. She is a giant breed and also a guardian breed so experience of or knowledge and understanding of her breed or similar is preferred. She is best as an only dog. She hasn't been very well socialised with other dogs and is very enthusiastic when meeting dogs outdoors, wants to bounce about and play with all, she is very much a gigantic silly puppy in her mannerisms. Not at all aggressive just not sure on the rules of play and due to her size can be a bit overwhelming. She enjoys her walks and generally being outdoors exploring. She must live as an indoor dog and obviously needs a home to accommodate her size. She has lived very happily with respectful teens. She enjoys playing with toys. She has been around horses without issue. She is perfectly housetrained. She enjoys a raw diet which we can advise on. She is in good health, neutered and has had a dental whilst in rescue.

Freddie Pomeranian 🧡🥰
7 years

🐾Active home needed
🧡Enjoys training, learning new tricks, being outdoors ...fab potential agility dog/Man trailing etc
🐾Could live with another confident, neutered, playful dog/s that match his energy.
🧡Best with someone home more often than not
🐾Secure garden
🧡A more rural home would be ideal
🐾Freddie eats a raw diet which we would like him to remain on.

Fred has mild epilepsy well controlled on drugs costing around £30 monthly.

Fred is a brilliant character. He is terrier sized and just as much fun. He's super playful and likes to interact with his humans and play with toys. He's affectionate and loving. He's a very clever and active little lad. Loves his walks. Much like terrier he needs to have a decent amount of exercise and enrichment to keep him a well balanced, happy and content boy. He needs a home with time and interest to dedicate to him. He's thrives on interaction from his people and is a joy to work and play with. He would be ideal for a home interested in dog sports, man trailing etc He's always happy and raring to go but equally after a busy day will come for cuddles on the sofa. Fred will bark at people passing his home if he has access to a front window or can hear a lot of noise outdoors. A rural quieter location would be preferable over a busy town type environment. Currently living semi rural with no issues. Fred walks well on lead, is great with the dogs he is in foster with, travels well in the car. He is toilet trained but in a busy multi dog foster will sometimes mark, we think this will resolve once he moves to a forever home. He is happy in his own bed downstairs with other dogs or equally cuddled up in bed with humans. He eats a raw diet, we can advise on this moving forward. He does get a little stressed when people leave the home but we area training place without barking (for him to go to bed with a treat ) and he is responding very well.

General info ...

We are completely foster based and have no rescue centre as such.

We are based in Northumberland

Meets are carried out at a neutral outdoor location. We expect all family members including resident dogs to attend meets.

We re-home UK wide for good terrier savvy homes. Have placed dogs as far away as Cornwall all the the way up to the Highlands. To make this possible there may be an added cost to help towards transport.

We always carry out our own home checks. This initially can be done by video if out of our area but an in person visit will be carried out before adoption is complete.

There is a minimum donation of £350.....this barely covers a basic spay and vaccination. Please bare in mind we generally spend so much more, often going into thousands, on the majority of our dogs to get them fit, healthy and adoption ready.

We receive absolutely no funding. We do our own fundraising and always welcome any support. We are not a registered charity but a small not for profit rescue.

We are a team of 3 people. A small but busy and productive team. Myself working around the clock and my colleagues both part time rescue wise. We work on a voluntary basis for the love of dogs only. We all have full time paid jobs, dogs and families of our own to care for alongside providing for fosters.

As we are such a tiny team our workload is huge and we must prioritise dog care over everything else.

We are unable to reply to unsuccessful applications due to time constraints.

We are unable to re-home to households with cats and small furries, birds etc .
Otherwise we will consider most all situations if it works for the individual dog.

All of our dogs have back up for life. If circumstances ever change our dogs always come back into rescue.
