💲Price ranges start at $30 up to $50 per pet and discounts are applied for multiple pets.
🚗Service area will include St. John’s, Paradise, Mount Pearl, Goulds and Southern Shore.

Hi all, I am looking to see how much interest there would be in a pet first aid/CPR course? I am considering becoming certified as a instructor if there would be enough interest in people wanting to take the course. It is a full day hands on course (not virtual) designed and maintained by veterinarians and vet techs with a canine based company. Included would be a 140 page canine emergency first aid book you take home and certificate of completion valid for 3 years. Classes would be held on a Saturday or Sunday in the St. John’s area with a cost of $159 tax in. There are just to many benefits of what is covered to list but here are just a few. This course can be taken by anyone but if you work with pets as a dog sitter, walker, groomer, daycare worker, etc. this course would defiantly have a lot of benefits. Also, for people who travel with their pets farther out of town where they aren’t as close to a vet hospital knowing what to do in a urgent situation can make a life or death difference. Please comment below if this is something you may be interested in. Thank you

NOW BOOKING!!
I am a Registered Veterinary Technician with 20 years clinical experience and I am taking my skills and knowledge on the road to provide Veterinary Technician services to your pets in your own home where they are comfortable and stress free in their familiar surroundings with the added benefit of the ease and convenience of not having to travel with your pet in the vehicle.
Services include:
🐾Routine & preventive care such as nail trims, a**l gland expressions, ear cleaning, etc.
🐾Help with homecare after surgery, injury or sickness where I come in to help if your feeling overwhelmed or need additional in-home care. I can help give medications, feedings, using the bathroom, etc. I also can check in on your pet when you have to go back to work and they are left home alone for the first time.
🐾"How to" demos and training on things like trimming nails, cleaning ears, giving prescribed medication correctly (insulin, SQ fluids), etc.
⚠️Services I can not do as a RVT are diagnose, prescribe medication (including vaccinations), perform surgery or do at home euthanasia, I also will not be doing any pet sitting, in depth behavior training (aside from very basic commands and house training) or grooming there are plenty of wonderful and skilled professionals in our community that offer these services.
💲Price ranges start at $30 up to $50 per pet and discounts are applied for multiple pets.
🚗Service area will include St. John’s, Paradise, Mount Pearl, Goulds and Southern Shore.

Part of being a Registered Veterinary Technician is every year I have to complete and submit so many hours of continuing education (CE) to keep the "R" and stay up to date with the latest and most relevant information in the veterinary field. A few topics I am learning about today is:
- Aging in the Dog: Foundations of Canine Geriatric Medicine
- She’s Too Sweet: Diabetes Mellitus

FAQ - My dog hates having their nails cut and can get aggressive and very reactive, can you trim them at home?

While some dogs and cats do better at home without all the sounds and smells of a vet hospital, groomer or hates traveling in the car, if your pet is overally stimulated by having their feet touched and nails cut and they fight it to much or become aggressive it is likely I won't be able to trim them and would be better suited at a vet hospital where there are more people to help and also gives the opportunity that if they are so set against it your veterinarian can prescribe a medication that will help calm your dog, also referred to PVPs (pre visit pharmaceuticals). Before you all ask lol it is NOT something I can prescribe your dog nor can I even administer to your dog, this medication has to be given at least one hour prior to appointment time with your vet office, groomer or myself. Please ask your veterinarian for more information about PVPs and if it is suitable for your dog. If you don’t have a regular vet I know a few fabulous ones who routinely prescribe PVPs or alternatively a dog trainer that can work with you and your dog to help make nail trims less scary.

FYI my main reasons/goals to doing at home nail trims is:
- your dog or cat is a angel but you are nervous trimming their nails, not knowing how much can safely be trimmed off. Added bonus I can show you and teach you during the nail trim.
- your dog or cat is old and leaving the house is no longer a easy task.
- convenient to you, you don’t need to rush home to get your dog ready to travel in the car, drive there and drive back or your dog or cat doesn’t like the car. Perhaps you don’t drive, even more convenient!
- your dog loves people but is reactive towards other dogs, I come to you, no accidental encounters.
*Note no matter how well behaved your pet is I almost always will need you or someone the pet is familiar with to help hold them while I trim their nails.

A few fast friends I made over the past month, not only is this service convenient and less stressful the thing that really warms my heart is how after I do what I’m there to do there are no hard feelings, they all are super happy and stick around for praise and affection, it’s really different than in clinic where once your done they usually try to run out the door as fast as they can. For all the lovely pets I didn’t photograph don’t take offence I usually remember “I should have took a photo” as I’m driving away lol I’ll never make it as a huge TikTok star.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to post a few FAQ and FYI’s about some things I get asked and clarify to help you get to know me better and this business 🙂
FYI - I don’t drive around in a large van to do appointments inside of, while I would love to do that the cost, licensing and insurance involved with that sort of operation far exceeds what I would be comfortable putting myself into financially. I get why people think that because my name says “mobile” but it is mobile as in I come to you to care for your pets inside (or sometimes outside if the weather is nice) your house which is where they are the most comfortable, stress free and convenient for you.
This is Sabrina my black kitty!
