Bratt brought the good vibes last night, and the Padres sealed the win! 💛🤎💛

At just 7 months old, Bratt is a playful pup full of energy and fun, making him the perfect baseball game companion! ⚾️
While we’re not exactly sure of his breed mix, we think we see a bit of French Bulldog, Beagle, and Boston Terrier in him.
Bratt still has some growing to do, but we expect he’ll be a medium-sized dog. He’s super sweet, loves other dogs, and is eager to learn new things. Plus, he’s a pro at giving kisses and makes the perfect lap warmer!

As we prepare for our upcoming 11th Annual 5K Mutt Run/Walk, we’re reminded of why our work matters so much. Meet Ramsey, a sweet 4-year-old Labrador who recently faced a life-threatening emergency.

Ramsey swallowed an object, and his family who couldn't afford the costly surgery to save him, requested that the shelter euthanize him. If the object moved into his intestines, the outcome could have been fatal. With time running out, our team stepped in. A dedicated volunteer rushed Ramsey from LA to San Diego and Ramsey underwent the life-saving procedure. While he’s still on the road to recovery, his fighting spirit continues to inspire us.
But Ramsey's battle isn't over. We’ve received an $8,000 medical bill, and the costs keep rising. We urgently need your help to ensure Ramsey’s full recovery.

: where foster humans share the inside scoop on their foster dogs.

Fosters are the reason our rescue can exist. For every dog moved into a foster home, we’re able to pull at least one other who is out of time at a shelter, say yes to helping a dog living with nothing on the streets, or give a pregnant or nursing dog a safe place to care for her puppies. This pint-sized cutie is Sabino! He came to Labs and More with his brother Sabo who has since been adopted, and Sabino hopes it's his turn soon. He is nearing 3 months old and we believe he may be a Pug and Chihuahua mix so will likely be small in size when full grown. Those puppy dog eyes say it all and he is a sweet and friendly guy that loves people and other dogs. He loves to play and is always on the go!

This goofball is Arlington!

We believe Arlington is a Shepherd, Terrier, and Lab mix and is set to grow into a medium-to-large-sized bundle of fun. He is a social butterfly who gets along with everyone—dogs, cats, and especially people!

His favorite things? Food, toys, and splashing in water! Whether he’s diving into a pool or playing in the tub, his playful antics will keep you smiling. Plus, his love for treats makes him a quick learner, and he’s already doing great with house training!

Arlington is ready for outdoor adventures, too, and is working on perfecting his leash skills. He’s just waiting to share his big heart and goofy charm with his forever family.

At just 6 months old, this Wirehaired Terrier mix (possibly with a hint of Schnauzer) is always on the go. Benny loves tearing around the play yard, tail wagging, and playing with toys. It’s Raining Dogs with Broken Legs in Our Shelters

We waited and hoped a small breed rescue could help Lars... but no one came. With only hours left, a dedicated volunteer stepped in and began the journey to save him. Despite our depleted surgery fund, we couldn’t turn our back on Lars.
This sweet, 15-pound Yorkie was found sitting by a major freeway, cars roaring by. Someone with a heart stopped and picked him up, and Lars clung to them with all his might. It was quickly clear that his leg was severely broken—likely thrown from a car. Just saying that brings tears to our eyes.
When we brought Lars to Labs and More, his eyes told us everything. He needed to get healthy before surgery, and that day finally came. Lars is now in recovery, but the surgery was more serious and costly than expected—$4,200 so far. With your help, we can cover his bill and ensure he gets the care he deserves.

Bless this little soul who deserves so much better. Please donate to help Lars on his journey to a better life.

Say hi to the Bravo pups! Born to mama Bravo (last photo), a very sweet, easygoing Lab mix. We don't know what other breeds are in these pups - maybe some Shepherd? - and we don't know who their dad was but expect these puppies to be large dogs when they are done growing. They are doing well in their foster home where they are getting lots of socialization with people and the resident adult dogs.

We have some new members at the Rescue Ranch! 💕

🐾 Mabel(pic1&2) - A sweet girl who wanted to say hello but was overshadowed by her kennel mate. She knew exactly what to do when she saw the car and hopped right in without hesitation!

🐾 Cassie(pic3&4) - This shy, sweet girl was in a kennel with three other pups. She’s petrified but craves human connection. One of our volunteers has already helped her come out of her shell with the help of some chicken treats!

🐾 Lenin(pic5&6) - He arrived covered in foxtails and ticks. Though shy, he longs for affection and is ready to be loved.

🐾 Gemma(pic7) - She had puppies but was spayed at a previous shelter. Transferred from a more inland shelter, she needed a better chance at finding a home, and we’re determined to give her that!

Derby pups Hamburg, Perth and Arlington are here to make a splash! 🌊

🐾 Hamburg(first photo)the adventurous and social pup, is ready to bring endless joy to your life! This playful guy loves running, playing, and splashing around in the water. With his boundless energy and enthusiasm, Hamburg is quickly mastering swimming, making every trip to the water a delight.
Hamburg’s friendly nature makes him a wonderful companion for kids, cats, and other dogs. He’s making excellent progress with house-training, showing just how smart and eager to learn he is.

Currently thriving in his foster home, Hamburg is excited to find his forever family!

🐾 Perth(second photo)is an adorable and chill, speckled-foot pup who just wants to snuggle and get belly rubs!
Perth is a friendly guy who loves everyone, including kids, other dogs, and even cats. He’s house-trained, sleeps through the night, and is getting the hang of leash walking with his daily strolls. Plus, he loves water and is learning to swim!

Perth would make a perfect companion for any family, big or small.

🐾 Arlington(third photo)the lovable goofball, is ready to fill your life with joy and laughter! Arlington is a social butterfly who adores people, other dogs, and even cats, making him the perfect addition to any family. His favorite things in the world are food, toys, and playing in water. Whether he’s splashing in the bathtub or any pool he can find, his playful antics are sure to bring a smile to your face.
His love for food makes him highly trainable, and he’s making great strides with house-training. Outdoor adventures are a blast with Arlington, who loves going for walks, though he’s still fine-tuning his leash skills.
Arlington is eager to find his forever home where he can share his big heart and goofy charm!

We think these pups are a mix of Shepherd, Terrier, and maybe Lab. While we’re not sure about who dad was, we expect them to be medium to large when fully grown.

Update on sweet Bossley:

Bossley is making progress with his eating habits. After trying various foods, he’s decided baked chicken is his favorite. While he’s still working on eating more and gaining weight, he’s making progress every day. In his foster home, he’s learned to trust his foster family and has discovered a new love for belly rubs.

It’s through the generosity of donors and the love of our volunteers that we’re able to continue taking in dogs like Bossley and give them their best chance at a new and happy life.

We hope you continue to support us and keep cheering Bossley on as he continues to heal. 🐾💕

Did you visit us at the San Diego Fair? If so you might’ve met Fontein! 🎡

Fontein is the sweetest puppy who rode quietly in a crate during his car ride to the fair. He had a blast giving kisses, getting pets, chasing toys, and chewing blankets. He handled the crowds, noise, and kids so well!

Fontein is a playful, friendly, and social little one who can't wait to shower you with puppy kisses! This adorable pup was born to mama Aruba, a sweet Shepherd mix. While we don't know dad's breed, we believe he is a mix of Shepherd, Lab, and Terrier. Fontein has been around dogs, cats, and kids, making him well-rounded and ready for their forever homes. We expect him to grow into a medium to large dog.

Mystic puppies want to remind you there’s still time to shop our Amazon wishlist! 🎾🦴

These pups are always ready to play and explore, they love their foster mom’s backyard, meeting new people, and jumping into your arms. These vocal, happy pups have tails that never stop wagging. Their mama, Mystic, is a Border Collie and Corgi mix, a friendly and energetic girl around 30lbs. Many of the puppies inherited her adorable short legs. While we don’t know their dad, we expect these pups to be medium-sized when fully grown.
Border Collies and Corgis are smart, active herding breeds. We’re looking for families familiar with the needs of these energetic dogs.
