Hi Router!! . I trapped him at 1 of my colonies a few weeks ago. He allows petting but still scared and doesn't come for petting. I'm looking for someone who has the time to socialize. 🙏

Dear Family, friends and followers: I need your help!

I rescued Zoe 2/5/2019. She was adopted in April 2019 at 3 months old.. and returned to me in August 2020, a totally different cat. She was returned because she was hissy and had behavioral issues. She was adopted as a sweet baby at close to 3 months old. That's her 2nd pic with the other cat who was in the home. I believe she was not being treated well.
I welcomed her with open arms, and I love her sooo much! In May of this year, she had a dental.

On Monday 8/12 she was diagnosed with FIP. There is a cure but it's very expensive! Zoe is only 5 years old and deserves to live! Please help her!

Welcome Tokyo, she was surrendered to me because the womans daughter didn't take care of her. Sadly the daughter was only 8 years old and was hysterical when she handed her to me. my heart broke for her. I truly understand teaching children responsibility but with a pet is not it! please buy them toys not pets if your going to rip them away from them leaving scars. She had Tokyo since she was a kitten.

While trying to trim an anxious cats nails yesterday with a 6 got me good. It's definitely my fault i should have walked her thru his history. im glad he got me and not her. Always follow body language and know the cat you're working with. I know him but failed to take the proper precaution due to exhaustion.

He's a sweet boy who's been thru some serious trauma. I'm ok it's just superficial scratches on sensitive skin.

Nepal's story continues- his loving foster brought him to the veterinary hospital last night and he was admitted. His fever wouldn't break and he needed an IV and continuous supportive care 💜

He is doing MUCH better at the hospital.. his fever is gone and he is eating. He will probably be discharged tomorrow night.

Now is the time to donate to help this little guy. He had significant trauma in the form of a shattered jaw that was reconstructed via surgery. We suspect his broken jaw is a result of a kick to the face. Even in all that pain, he was purring up a storm and cuddling on his foster's lap. Let's get him the care he deserves!!

Atleast every other Saturday I prep my colonies food with L-lysine, dewormer and capstar. I wish I can do this daily but can't prep food at work. Thankful for all the food donations. Today and unfortunately too many times do I have to use my personal cats food for the colonies when I don't have anymore.

Remember Snagglepuss.. who was attacked by a pitpull.. he's still with me and has healed beautifully. He has permanent scars, but they make him all the much adorable. He will be available soon, so keep an eye out. He should be in an adult chill home only....

Please keep your pets inside. 100s of dogs and cats go missing on the 4th of July. Feed your colonies early so they can find a place to hunker down and stay safe.

Meowzers…the FIREWORKS sure are intense around NYC and Long Island! And they will only get more frequent over the next week as we approach the 4th of July!

As many people who live with pet cats know, fireworks can frighten your feline friends into hiding under the bed or in the closet. Closing windows and curtains and turning on the TV and air conditioner can help reduce the flashes and noise. But what can cats who live outdoors do, and how can you help them?

The good news is that just like pet cats, community cats have an instinct to find a good hiding place and stay put during scary fireworks. Depending on what type of territory they have, your outdoor Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) colony cats may be able to get even farther away from the noise than your indoor pet cats. Some TNR caretakers help protect their colony cats by giving them an extra big meal early in the day well before evening fireworks, so if they need to hole up for an entire day, they won't be so hungry.

Sinbad went to the vet today because his URI was persistent, and I wanted him snap tested. As I thought, he tested FIV and FElv+. He didn't deserve to be abandoned so that he could contract the virus. Either way, he's such a good boy who deserves a loving home as a solo cat.

On my way home Friday, I received a call for help. Pregnant cat and possibly dumped. Well, when I arrived, Mai white/black came running to me... She's crossed eyed and has something happening with 1 eye.. Then, in search of the pregnant Margo, whom I trapped. She is very shy, so we will see if she is adoptable or not. Then this big ginger boy came prancing in. Ugh, I have no space, so i couldn't take him. But promised I'll be back.

Please adopt so we can make space for others. It's so difficult walking away. I've been thinking of him since!

Remember this hunk, Dexter? Was trapped by mistake by a follower, and i took him on because he needed an eye enucleation. Thanks to for vetting him! ..Well, I just couldn't return him. I just had a hunch he was friendly. It's been a hard 3 months he has some serious trust issues, but he is looking forward to daily petting sessions, and so am I! I know it's going to be some time, but he deserves it! Someone failed him in the past, and I refuse to fail him again. Some would have released him, but not this crazy cat lady 😜

I've been helping a small hoarding situation by my colony over in one of the NYCHA bldgs.. Yesterday, the mom & dad to these kittens, which surrendered to me this weekend, put an end to this. I spayed/neutered the last 8 out of 12 cats within the last 2 months. Prior to covid, she used the aspca community bus to spay/neuter the 1st 4, but then she bought in 2 since and multiplied. Unfortunately, getting an aspca appt for the community is extremely difficult. That's why this is happening all across NYC. Most can't afford $800- $1000 to spay/neuter their pets.

I'm willing to help the community as much as I can to avoid the pet homelessness going on.
